On Saturday Night over 230 friends of Patty Brickley meet for dinner at the Bogota High School gym, for some pasta , and to enjoy each others company. This was the latest fund raising effort to help Ms. Brickley , and her family, as she goes through treatment of Multiple Myeloma. The large group of friend, some knowing " Aunt Patty" for many years , other being introduced to her for the first time, all came together to help out. It is appropriate that this event would be held at the Bucs home court of Speary Gym since Ms Brickley is a fixture at most of the Bogota sporting events. Whether it is taking tickets at the door, or helping keeping the fans in line and safe she has given much to Bogota sports teams in the past. These fund raiser are more than just collecting money for a friend who needs a little help, they are a chance to show Patty that over the years we have seen what you do, and we now can show you what you mean to us.
Also at Saturday dinner Dianne Bal from the Avon Breast Health Outreach Program was there to present a check to " The Friends of Patty Brickley" Foundation. This was part of the Laps for Ladies held on the
20th-Oct. A check for $588.50 was presented to Ray Searles which represents the Foundation portion of the laps. The food was provided by Rich Sargenti, a Bogota High School Alumni, Music was played by Susan Fries, also from Bogota. items that were raffled away had been supplied by local citizens , and business' . All coming together to help a friend in need.
