Bogota Sports

A recap of the games played by Bogota sports teams for the weekend of 9-Nov.
  The Junior Football ended their first season as a member of the Bi-County Junior Scholastic Football League. They play their final game at Feigel Field against Ridgefield. The Pee-Wee team lost their game by the score of 18-36 and finished their season at 0-8. The Junior team held on to get the victory 19-14  to have a final record of  3-4-1 which placed them sixth in the nine team league.  The Senior team loss 20-40 and ended with a record of 1-7-1 for eighth place.

 The High School Football team lost at  Lodi  by the score of 7-46. The Bucs finish their regular season at 3-6.

 The #1 Lady Bucs Volleyball team had a 2-0 (25-10 : 25-5) victory over#16 Wallington in the second round of the Group 1 Tournament. Bogtoa had another solid team game with four different players recording Aces  7 five being credited for Digs. Carly O'Sullivan lead in Kills with 20 and Dig with 6. Amanda Manzo had 4 Aces, to go with her 24 Assists. While Jenifer Ramirez had a Match high 12 Service Points.
 #1 Bogota plays #9 Wood-Ridge  in a Quarterfinal Match on Tuesday 12- Nov.  at Home in Speary  Gym with a schedule start at 7:00p



  The Bogota Cross Count Squads had races in the Sectional Championships at Garret Mountain. In the Girls Group #1 race the Lady Bucs finished second over all out of 11 squads . Jillian O'Brien placed 7th over all Anais Fernandez placed 10th with Madeline Rivera placing 14th , Katherine Vega 25th &  Mika Sunga 34th  out of the 89 runners
  In the Boys Group 1 race Bogtoa also finished second out of 18 teams running in this event. Quin Geraghty Andy Jaipersaud & Chris Rivera placed 8,9, & 10 with Michael Gioiosa coming in at 14 & Juan Castro finishing 23rd out of 127.
   Their next meet is the State Group Championships at Holmdel Park  on Sat. 16-Nov.
