Bogota Sports

The Board of Education meeting originally scheduled for 21-Jan. will be held on Tuesday 28-Jan at 7:30p (weather permitting) in the Cafeteria of Bogota High School  located on the 2nd floor at 2 Henry Luthin Pl. Bogota, NJ. This is opened to the public, at this meeting the Board will discuss the criteria to fill the one open seat on the Board. The vacated seat was the one held by recently elected Councilman John Mitchell. Also at this meeting their will be the issue of whether or not the Board of Education should hold a meeting once a Month, or continue to have two meeting each month during the school year.

Note: another snow storm is predicted over the weekend, please listen for changes, or cancellations.

In High School Sports
   The Bogota Bowling team lost to Queen of Peace on Thursday. They have their match against Harrison on Monday, 27- Jan at the Parkway Lanes in Elmwood Park, NJ starting at 4:00p

   The Bogota Wrestling team has a match against Rutherford & Ft. Lee  on Saturday 25- Jan.at Ridgefield Park High School starting at 10:00p

  The Boys Basketball team lost at Cresskill on Thursday by the score of 52-67. This moves their record to 1-9. They next play on Saturday. 25- Jan against Eastern Christian at Kennedy H.S. in Patterson , NJ. Their next league games are Monday 27-Jan with a make-up game at home in Speary Gym against Waldwick with a 4:00p start. Then they play on Tuesday at Palisade Park on Tuesday 28- Jan with a 7:00p tip-off.

  The Bogota Lady Bucs Basketball team lost at home in Speary Gym to Cresskill by the score of 31-38. Bogota held a three point lead at halftime, but the Lady Cougars posted a 13 point third Quarter while holding Bogota to only three point. Krissy Bautista lead the Lady Bucs in scoring with 10 points. 
    This moves their record to 1-9. They have a make-up game at Waldwick on Monday 27-Jan starting at 4:00p. They next play on Tuesday 28- Jan. when Palisade Park comes to Speary Gym for a 4:00p game
