Sidewalks

18- April-2014
Over the last few days crews have been removing select trees on Elm Ave.  This is the first part of a sidewalk rehabilitation on Elm Ave from W. Main St. going South to River Rd. Ten trees are scheduled to be removed because of the interference the trees and their root system are doing to the sidewalks. The next step will be to replace the damaged sidewalks with newer ones. All new sidewalks will be concrete, with a older slate sidewalks to be replaced by concrete ones. Driveway aprons will also be replaced as needed. The work is being done with money from a Bergen County Community Development grant.
