Due to the flash flooding a water rescue took place last night:  

At approx 2100 hrs on Monday Night the  Bogota PD, OEM, EMS and Rescue were dispatched to a car in the flood waters at RIver Rd and Elm Aves with a person trapped in the vehicle.  Units arrived to find the driver in the car submerged with floodwaters over the 3 foot marker.  Members of the Rescue Squad suited up and retrieved the driver of the vehicle.  The driver was not injured.  Barriers were in place prior to the car entering the roadway. This again highlights the dangers that driving through floodwaters causes, not only for those in the vehicles, but for first responders as well.
