Added and Future events

   Some added and future events that will happen in and around Bogota. Please continue to view Bogota Blog NJ for more information on these and other upcoming events.

March 
   Saturday-21-March
         - The Bogota Public Library will be hosting its first  Makers Day event. This is part of NJ Makers Day 2015. This is a State wide event celebrating the creativity of the Students of New Jersey. This is open to the Public. Children under 8 years old must be accompanied by an Adult.    Saturday-21-March
     - The Bogota Football Parents will be hosting a Potluck dinner. This will be held in the High School Gymnasium. It will run from 5:00p to 7:00p.  Saturday-21-March 
-The  YWCA of Bergen County 2015 Girls Conference.  This will start at 9:00a and go until 2:00p . It will be at Dickinson Hall on the Hackensack portion of the Fairleigh Dickinson  University Campus. This is a day for young Women between the ages of 11 to 18. A main topic of the day will be how how young women can break down the barriers that society has built around them, and highlight the important roles that young women play in
our community.
    They  will begin the morning with  keynote speaker Charlotte Samuels of Ridgewood, the youngest person to complete the Triple Crown of open-water swimming in the world.    Workshops for girls and adults will focus on topics such as acceptance, media literacy, healthy lifestyles, the environment, and preparing for college. Performances by the Teaneck Terpsichoreans and Reflections, and an interactive drum circle will round out the day.
  Tickets are $10.00 for Young Woman between 11 & 18 and $15 for  Parent, Guardian, or Chaperone (The attending adults must be registered with at least one Young Lady) Breakfast & Lunch will be included with the admission. Tickets must be order before Friday 20- March

    Sunday-22-March

      - Bogota Beautiful & Bogota VFW Post # 5561 will be hosting a Pancake Breakfast. This will run from 8:30a to 11:30a  Tickets are $10 for Adults. $5 for Seniors, Veterans,  and Students under 10 years of age. There will also be a special Family deal for $25. This will be held at the post lower hall with the entrance at 241 West Shore Ave Bogota,NJ. Proceeds from this fundraiser will help finance  Bogota Beautiful's Spring Planting for 2015 . Tickets will be available at the Ralph Hall Post from 4:00p to 10:00p seven days a week. Tickets can also be order online  through the constant contact site at:  http://conta.cc/1M1P1uZ > . Admission will include Pancakes, Bacon, Sausage, Eggs , and Potatoes. Juice, Coffee, Tea, & Milk will be served.
    Bogota Beautiful  looking for anyone wishing to volunteer to help with the breakfast. They require assistance with serving, waiting tables, and general clean-up.

 Tuesday-24 March
   -The Ridgefield Park High School will be hosting a College fair in their Gymnasium starting at 6:30p and going to 8:30p. This will offer Students and their Parents a chance to find information about Colleges & Universities that can further their Education.
 The Ridgefield Park High School is located at 1 Ozzie Nelson Dr. Ridgefield Park, NJ 



 Friday & Saturday -27& 28-March
     - The Bogota High School Drama Club will be presenting their Musical for 2015. This year they will perform " Shrek: The Musical" This will take place in the High School Auditorium. There will be evening performance on Friday &  Saturday  with a Curtain time of 7:30p. There will be a Matinee performance on Saturday 28- March with a Curtain time of 1:00p Tickets for all Evening  performances will be $8.00 for Adults and $6.00 for Students and Seniors.  Tickets for the Matinee performance will be $6.00 for all tickets.
   Bogota High School is located at 2 Henry Luthin Pl. Bogota, NJ.

April

  Wednesday 1- April
  - The Steen School is holding their annual Family Science night. This will take place  from 6:30p to 8:00p and be held in the Steen Gymnasium.  Anyone wishing to attend must register  on, or before  Friday 13- March.  They also collection caps from  standard drink bottles, water, soda, snapple, etc. to be used with one of the activities. Caps must be placed in a ziplock bag and marked " PTO Science Night"
                                                                   

Saturday-11- April
 - The Bogota VFW post #5561 will host an evening of Wrestling presented by  Pro Wrestling Magic. The event is Schedule to start at 7:15p.  Tickets will be $10.00 in advance and $12.00 at the doors. This will be held in the Main Hall located at 240 Leonia Ave Bogota, NJ. For more information , or to purchase advance tickets please go to :  www.wrestlingismagic.com

Saturday-25- April

 - There will be the First Annual   Community Clean-up as a celebration of Earth-Day 2015.   Volunteers will be helping to Clean Olsen Park starting at 10:00a to 2:00p. This is being sponsored by  local groups  include Bogota Beautiful, the Bogota Environmental Commission,  Bogota Green Team,  Bogota DPW,  Steen Elementary School PTO, Bogota Girl Scouts,  Bogota Rescue Squad and the Bogota Public Library to help maintain Olsen Park.  Volunteers will receive refreshments and a Lunch will also be provided. May

Friday-1-May
  - Bogota VFW Ralph Hall post #5561 will be holding it's annual Loyalty Day event. They will award the winners of the "Voice of Democracy" and "Patriot's Pen" essay contest.  They will also display the work of  the colouring contest for the younger Students. This will be held in the Main Hall located at 240 Leonia Ave Bogota, NJ. This is open to the Public and  is a free event.






Saturday-2-May
 - The Steen PTO will be having their third annual Tricky Tray  raffle at the Bogota VFW Ralph Hall post #5561. Door will open at 6:00p with raffle drawing beginning at 7:30p. Tickets are $20.00 in advance and $25.00 at the door. Price includes Buffet Dinner, with Dessert & Coffee. As well as a sheet of tickets for small basket prizes.  This is an Adult only event and a cash bar will be available.
