Weekend Events

2-October 2015

   Some events happening in and around Bogota for the weekend starting on Friday 2-October.

Due to the possibility of  the effect of hurricane Joaquin please contact the event for up to date information.


Friday-2-October
Bogota
   The Bogota Bucs Football game will now start their game against Weehawken at 4:00p. This will be played at Fiegel Field. 


Friday-2-October
Bogota
    The Bogota Public Library will be closed until Monday 12- October for renovations. It is Scheduled to reopen on Tuesday 13- October.

                                        



Saturday-3 -October
Bogota

      The Bogota Public library  have extended their  fitness club  Saturday session  into September. The schedule starting time is still 10:30a to 11:30a. This will incorporate a number of different techniques  from the "Team Beachbody® Fit Clubs". This will be a free event to anyone 18 years or older. All fitness levels are welcomed. Anyone who attends must bring their own Yoga mat, towel, and water bottle. Comfortable exercise clothes are recommended. Saturday-3 -October
Bogota

    Bogota Beautiful will have a preliminary  ground breaking for their Community Garden starting at 10:00a. This will take place adjacent  to the World War I Memorial on River Rd at W. Ft. Lee. Anyone wishing to Volunteer should go to: bogotabeautiful.com for more inforamtion.

Saturday-3 -October
Bogota
   
  The second annual  St. Joseph's Spirit Sprint will start at 9:00a. The starting and finish line will be at the Bogota Recreation Center. Same day registration will be taken for a $30 entrance fee. Proceeds will go to Special Olympics and St. Joseph's School 

                         



Sunday-4-October
Bogota

     St. Joseph's  Catholic Church will hold an 100th Anniversary Mass  beginning at 10:00a.
St. Joseph's Church is located at the corner of Palisade Ave and E. Ft. Lee Rd Bogota, NJ



                                                      


Monday-5 -October

Bogota
   This will be the first Day of "Leaf Season"  Leaves , and grass cutting may be placed in the street along the curb for removal. Piles must not extained into the street that may affect traffic, and leaf piles must be clear of storm sewage , and drain to prevent flooding conditions.

     The weekly " Meet the Mayor"  event will take place in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman  This is open to any Bogota resident who would to ask the Mayor a question about  Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the Borough. Anyone who wishes just to have an informal conversation with the Mayor is also welcome to attend. Meetings will be held on a first come basis. This will run from 5:00p to 7:00p in the Mayor's office. His office is on in Bogota Borough Hall located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.

Bogota

    Volunteers members from the  The Bogota  Emergency Services will host a equipment display in the parking Lot of Valley National Bank starting at 6:00p
