The Bixby Class of 2016 is holding a clothes drive in front of the School. They are collecting new & and gently used items such as clothing, bedding, curtains & towels. They will also accept outerwear like hats, gloves, scarves , and even backpacks . Clean stuffed animal and hard toys may also be donated. It is asked that all donations be securely bagged and placed on the tarp at the corner of Fisher & Chestnut Sts. It is also asked that shoes be placed in a separate bag and marked as shoes.
The drop off will run from Friday 23- Oct. to 9:00a Monday -26-Oct. Process going to the Bixby Class of 2016. Donated items will be picked up on Monday 26-Oct at 9:00a

The Bogota Public Library will host their annual Haunted Library Party This will start at 11:30a and be held in the second floor Seniors Center.

Bogota Volunteer Fire Dept. Hose Co. #2 will host their annual Pancake Breakfast at the Central Ave Firehouse.It will start at 8:00a and got until 1:00p. Tickets are $8.00 for Adults and $5.00 for Students. It will take place at the Hose #2 Firehouse located at 164 Central Ave. in Bogota, NJ. This is the seventh year for this breakfast with the process going to help maintain and run the Firehouse.
The Bogota Fire Dept. along with the Rescue and First aid Squads are all volunteer organizations. For more information about volunteering please to to bogotafire.org/ or call; 201-342-1736 ext. 2007.

The Bogota Community Alliance in conjunction with the the Bogota Recreation Commission have announced a reformatted Bogota Pageant. This years pageant is " Mr. & Miss Bogota 2016." This years Pageant will now have a Men's category to to highlight and celebrate the Young Men of Bogota. It will also continue to show the power and qualities of the Young Women from the Borough.
Registration will be on Sunday 18- October , and again on Sunday 25- October from 12:00 noon to 4:00p both days. Registration will be held at the Bogota Recreation Center located at 162 W. Main St. in Bogota, NJ.

The Bogota Buccaneer Marching Band will be competing in the North Jersey Band Festival at Montclair State University. The program will start at 4:30p. Bogota will be one of 17 High School bands that will be performing at this event. Tickets are $12 at the gate with $6 parking.

Read to Maggie the Beagle returns for her Fall reading program. She will be available to help your child foster their love of reading by letting them be Maggie's Reading Buddy. Come on down, pick out a book, and read to Maggie in the Children's Section. The time will be at 4:00p stating in September, and throughout the School Year. The weekly " Meet the Mayor" event will take place in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman This is open to any Bogota resident who would to ask the Mayor a question about Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the Borough. Anyone who wishes just to have an informal conversation with the Mayor is also welcome to attend. Meetings will be held on a first come basis. This will run from 5:00p to 7:00p in the Mayor's office. His office is on in Bogota Borough Hall located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.

Cross County- Bergen County Group Championship meets at Darlington Park Men's race at scheduled for 1:10p Women's race scheduled for 1:40p
Football - at St. Mary's 1:00p
Volleyball - Second round match of the Bergen County Championship vs #8 Mahwah at 3:00p in South Gym Old tappan High School
Junior Bucs Football- vs Englewood at Fiegel Field Pee-Wee game kick-off at 11:00a with the other games to follow.
