Elections Results

4-November-2015

    The results of the Elections on 3- November. All Republican Candidates swept into office with large victories. For Mayor Incumbent Chris Keleman  won a full three year term with a more than 360 margin over Councilwoman  Lisa Kohles.  For Council Incumbent Councilwoman Daniele Fede was the top vote getter of the four Candidates for the full three year Council term First time Francisco Miranda won the second seat available. In the race to fill the one year Council seat, vacated when Mr. Keleman won the Mayor's office in 2014  Michael Connors defeated Ingrid Brito by over 300 votes.
   For the three seat available for the Bogota Board of Education Eileen Lewis  was the top vote getter. She was followed by Incumbent Kathryn Van Buren, and Jo-Ellen Granquist.

In County Elections Incumbent Freeholders Tracy Silna Zur & Steven Tanelli both were reelected to those seats.
 In the vote for  New Jersey State Representative Incumbents Valerie Huttle Vainieri and  Gordon Johnson both won reelection.

In other news:

 The #13 Bogota Bucs Men's Soccer team had an upset victory at #4 Wallington on Tuesday 3- November. Bogota's Nicholas Calabia scored a second half goal to force an overtime period. After the first Overtime remanded scoreless. The Bucs  Mr. Calabia scored the Golden Goal in the second Overtime for the win. Connor McDonnell added one Goal. #13 Bogota now will play #5 Emerson in the Quarterfinals on Saturday 6- November.
