This Weeks Events

   Some events happening in and around Bogota for the week starting on Monday 14-December.

Continuing

   The Bogota Public Library has a number of stations dedicated to the collect items to be recycled. 
collection drop is for old, non-working holiday string lights. This is a project sponsored by the Bogota Green team and Bogota Beautiful. They will collecting this lights from now until Monday -21-December.  Process from collecting these lights will go to help fund the Bogtoa Beautiful spring planting.  Other string light drop-off points are Borough Hall, All three of the Bogota Public Schools and the Bogota Dept. of Public Works.   One is a box to collect old, and used Crayola coloured makers. Makers collected will be send to the Crayola company to be reprocessed. For more information please visit ther web site at;  http://www.crayola.com/colorcycle

       The weekly " Meet the Mayor"  event will take place in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman  This is open to any Bogota resident who would to ask the Mayor a question about  Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the Borough. Anyone who wishes just to have an informal conversation with the Mayor is also welcome to attend. Meetings will be held on a first come basis. This will run from 5:00p to 7:00p in the Mayor's office. His office is on in Bogota Borough Hall located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.

 The Bogota Public Library will present  Reading to Maggie the Beagle 4:00p-5:00p .   Bogota Beautiful has their next board meeting starting at 7:30p. It will take place in the Council Chambers of Borough Hall. Located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ. The Public is welcome to attend.

   The Bogota Music Dept. will present their Winter Concert starting at 7:30p This will feature both the Women's & Men's Choir, The La-De-Da's Barbershop group. The Concert band and the Jazz band. This will be held in the High School Auditorium located on the first Floor at 2 Henry Luthin Pl. Bogota , NJ

The Bogota Borough Council will be holding their regular Council meeting  and work session starting at 7:30p. It will take place in the Council Chambers of Borough Hall. Borough Hall is located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.  This meeting is open to the public.

Friday-18-Dec.
Bogota
   Bixby School will host it's annual Winter Dance for all 5th & 6st grade of Bogota Schools. This will be held in the Bixby Gymnasium from 7:00p to 10:00p Tickets are $5.00. This is open to All 5th & 6st grade Students attending Bixby, Steen, or St. Joseph's schools.  Pizza and other refreshment will be available.  All Student must be picked-up by 10:00p and signed in and out by a Parent or Guardian over 18 years of age. If a different person is picking up a Student the Bixby chaperones must be informed at time of drop-off.

 Saturday 19--Dec

 Sunday-20-Dec
Bogota

  Members of the Bogota Volunteer Fire dept will be escorting Santa Claus on his annual visit to Bogota before Christmas. He will tour the Borough to make sure that all the Children of Bogota are working  hard to be on his nice list. He and some of his Firefighter helpers will be passing out lollipops for Children, of all ages who come out to wave at him as he passes by. His tour is scheduled start at 1:00p.
