Bogota Basketball

   On Tuesday 19-January the Bogota  basketball play those from Midland Park. The lady Bucs traveled to Midland Park and suffer a 28-54 loss.  Leila Ksiyer had a game high 13 Points. Ms Ksiyer and Tatiana Bruno both led Bogota with 2 Three Point baskets. The Lady Bucs record is now 3-7. Their next game is on Thursday 21-January when they play Park Ridge at home in Speary Gym with a scheduled tipoff time of 4:00p
   The Men's team play the Panthers at Speary Gym. Midland Park, on the strength of 3 Three Point baskets by Matt Genao to a 5-11 lead after the first 8 minutes. Bogota then reversed the scoring with an 11 Point second Quarter while  holding Midland Park to a single basket to take a 16-13 lead into halftime.  The Bucs then had a volley of Three Point Baskets to widen their lead on the way to a 51- 30 win. Andrew Riad had a game high 14 Points, along with 13 Points from Chris Alcantara. Mr Riad led the team with 4 Three point baskets. Mr. Alcantara had a team high of 13 rebounds. Bogota record now stands at 8-2. They travel to Park Ridge on Thursday 21- January for a game with a 7:00p tipoff.
