  The Bogota Public Library has set outs a box to collect old, and used Crayola coloured makers. Makers collected will be send to the Crayola company to be reprocessed. For more information please visit ther web site at;  http://www.crayola.com/colorcycle

  A Family Orchard Terrace is still searching for their lost dog . This family is serving as a Foster Home for this Dog who will answer to the name Cleo or Celine. She is a 2 year Shepard mix Brown and Black in colour.  The foster family reported Cleo missing on Wednesday 16-Dec after arriving home from work finding a window broken and Cleo missing. Cleo was last seen wearing a red collar decorated with images of bones on it.  Cleo may be familiar with the area along River Rd. She is described as "fearful" and may ran from strangers.  Cleo has been with her Foster Family for only a few weeks so she may be looking for an older home, or more familiar surroundings.

   The Library will have it's  Night Traveler's Teen Club The Night Traveler's Teen Club is open to grades 6-12. Club members participate in various activities and interact with peers. Bring your ideas, creativity, and enthusiasm to the table.  The next book in the" Food for Thought" to be discussed will be " Moloka'i" by Alan Brennert starting at 7:00p in on the second floor. Copies are now available at the Library.

       The weekly " Meet the Mayor"  event will take place in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman  This is open to any Bogota resident who would to ask the Mayor a question about  Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the Borough. Anyone who wishes just to have an informal conversation with the Mayor is also welcome to attend. Meetings will be held on a first come basis. This will run from 5:00p to 7:00p in the Mayor's office. His office is on in Bogota Borough Hall located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.

   The Bogota Public Library will have an instrumental program on how to make a Salad  in a Jar.  This will feature a number of creative ways to encourage healthier eating. Anyone attending must sign up  in advance in order to have the an accurate number of jars. Also, in order to participate you must bring just one salad ingredient. You'll receive an email or a phone call after you register and you can choose the salad ingredient then. Early birds get the most choices. This is a new date for this event with the time still starting at 7:00p

Thursday-14-Jan.
Bogota  
   Bogota Beautiful will host Winter Salsa night in January. These will be every Thursday (14, 21 ,& 28) of January. The lessons will start at 8:00p and go until 9:00p. These will be lead by Isabel Bustamante who will teach anyone in attendance the art of Salsa Dancing.  The lessons are be open to all ages and experiences in dancing.  All sessions  will take place on the second floor of the Kennedy Emergency Service Building located at 69 W. Main St Bogota, NJ. There will be a suggested donation of $5.00 for the first three night and $10.00 for 28-Jan.  The fourth night will be a Salsa Social Dance event. This is open to anyone, of all ages, who knows, or wishes to learn about Salsa Dance.  Ms. Bustamante will be one instructor, along with Sasha Valerie leading the class on 21-Jan. The final night dance party on 28-January with music provided.  Anyone wishing to donate a food item should contact  Bogota Beautiful for more information. Also anyone wishing to volunteering for any of these project. Bogota
  The Bogota Public Library will host an Interactive Guitar Showcase with Joe Lustica. This will begin at 11:00a.  Part performance, part hands on exploration of the guitar, part music lesson. Audience members with their own guitars are encouraged to bring them. Young musicians just starting out and who'd value a fun guitar lesson are encouraged to bring their own guitars. And fun shall be had by all!!!

      The three schools of the Bogota Public Education System, St. Joseph's School and the Bogart Memoral School will be closed for the Martin Luther King  Jr Holiday. The Bogota Public Library will also be closed this day.
