On Monday- 29- February both Bogota Basketball Team played in the opening round of the NJSIAA North 1 Group 1 Tournament . The #16 Lady Bucs traveled to #1 Saddle Brook and suffered a 37-65 loss. Leila Ksiyer had a team high of 7 Points and Emma O'Brien made 2 Three Point Baskets.
The #3 Men's Basketball Bucs played #14 Hopatcong at home in Speary Gym. Bogota scored the first 15 points of the game on its way to a 35-12 halftime lead. The Bucs continued to pressure the Chiefs at the start of the second half to come away with a 66-37. Isiah DeLa Cruz led all scorers with 23-Points and 5 Three Point Baskets. Mr. De La Cruz also had a team high 7 Rebounds.
The next play a Quarterfinal game on Wednesday-2-March against #11 Cresskill, which upset #6 North Warren 74-57. This will be play at Home in Speary Gym with the tipoff Scheduled for 7:00p.
Of the eight in the Quarterfinal 5 are from the Patriot League.
