On Wednesday 20-July Bogota Beautiful held its monthly board meeting. This meeting was held in the lower hall of the Bogota VFW post #5561. Their next meeting will be held in September with the location to be determined.
Some of the highlights of this meeting was an update about their production of " High School Musical" Performance dates have been set for Friday & Saturday 26-27 of August. It will take place in the Steen Gymnasium, Curtain times will be 7:00p on Friday with a Saturday matinee starting at 12;00 noon. Ticket prices were not announced at this time. They are still looking to fill a number of leads role, as well as ensemble roles. There is also a need for volunteers to do support, and technical work along with musician to play in the pit orchestra. Technical workers are needed for set, & prop construction, painting, lighting and Stage crew. Any high school Student will recieve Community Service credit for volunteering to do production work.
Bogota Beautiful is having two fundraisers to help finance " High School Musical" The first is the sale of t-shirts. Theses are production shirts and are available at: https://www.createmytee.com/JoinOrder/40483 anyone wishing to purchase a shirt must use the password HSM2016. Shirts are priced at $20.00 until Tuesday 26-July. then the price raises to $25.00. There next event is a Car Wash to be held on Saturday 30-July from 10:00a to 12:00 noon. This will be held at the concession stand across from the Vin Scully little league field. Prices will be $5.00 for a wash. and $15.00 for a premium package of a wash, vacuuming, and a song performed by the cast. There other main point is a change to the Best Home Appeal contest. They have introduced a form which anyone can use to ask a homeowner for permission to nominated their home for this contest. It is asked that the form seen below be used to invite a homeowner to allow Bogota Beautiful permission to photograph their property so it can be considered for the contest. Submission must to filed to Bogota Beautiful before Monday 15-August.
