October to December
Monday -3- October will be the start of Leaf Season. Home Owners are allowed to place raked, leaves and grass cutting in the street , along the curb, in front of their residents. It is ask that the piles be placed in such a way as not to interfere with traffic, and away from storm sewers and drain to prevent flooding , or other water build-up. Leaf Season is schedule to end on Monday -19- December after that date all yard waste must be placed in brown leaf bags for pick-up.

Bogota
Members of The Bogota Volunteer Fire Dept. will be escorting Santa on his Lollipop tour of the Borough. This a final chance for the Bogota Children to show Santa that they have be nice this year. He starts his tour at about Noon with Lollipops being passed out by his helpers.

The Ridgefield Park Elks Lodge # 1506 will hold their monthly All you can eat Breakfast starting at 8:30 a to 12:00 noon. Tickets are $10.00 and $5.00 for Students 10 years old and younger. Price included an omelet station, pancakes, french toast, bacon, sausage and home fries. Along with pastries and cereals. Process go to the Elks Lodge general fund. The weekly " Meet the Mayor" event will take place in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman This is open to any Bogota resident who would to ask the Mayor a question about Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the Borough. Anyone who wishes just to have an informal conversation with the Mayor is also welcome to attend. Meetings will be held on a first come basis. This will run from 5:00p to 7:00p in the Mayor's office. The Bogota Public Library will close at 2:00p for its Holiday break. It will reopen on Tuesday 27-December at its regular hours
The Bogota Public School System will have a half day session to begin it's Holiday recess. schools will reopen on Tuesday 3- January-2017 with a regular schedule.
The St. Joseph's School will have a half day session to begin it's Holiday recess. There will be no Aftercare. The school will reopen on Tuesday 3- January-2017 with a regular schedule.
The Bogart School will close at 3:00p to begin it's Winter recess. The school will reopen on Tuesday 3- January-2017 with a regular schedule.
