Bixby Little Library

27-June-2017
Near the end of May of this school year the Bixby School in Bogota opened its Little Free Library. This is an structure placed on a pole between the Main entrance and the garden sitting area along the Fisher Ave walkway. Third grade teachers Ms Debbie Hunter and Ms Nicole Stols  wanted to give their Students a community project for the year. The Third Grade class held a couple of bake sales, and arranged a "dress down" day to help fund the project. They were able to raise enough money to purchase an enclosed box, shaped like a school house, and some books to start the Library off with . The Little Library is"open"seven day a week and can be use for anyone wishing to take a book home, or just to sit on a nearby bench for a quiet read. It is asked that all books taken be returned in a timely manner and in the same condition they were borrowed in.
Anyone may  donate a book to the Library as long as it is in good  readable condition. Bixby School will also take accept financially donation as well as other books to aid the Little Library. Any donations should be brought to the Biby Main Office during regular business hours.
