Weekend Events

Some events scheduled to take place in and around Bogota for the weekend starting on Thursday-15-June.   Times and dates may change due weather or other circumstances. Please contact the event for the most up to date information.  More events will be added when they become available.

 Starting on Thursday-16 March the  Lt William Ryan Bridge will be closed for replacement.   Construction is schedule to take 10 Months to complete.

 The Bogota Public Library will host a workshop on gardening tips.  This will be presented by staff from Home Depot. The will start at 7:00p and is open to the Public. This is a free event.

The Bogota High School  held their Academic Awards night.  This event was to honour the Students of Bogota High School for the school year of 2016-17. Also during this evening a number of scholarships will be awarded to a members of Graduating Seniors from the Class of 2016. This will be held at Speary Gym  in the High School starting at 7:00p.

The Bogota  Public Library will host their weekly Fit Club.   Bogota High School  will hold an induction ceremony for the Bogota Athletics Hall of Fame for 2017.   General Admission if $50.00 for Adults, and $25.00 for Students aged 6-10. Any member of a team being honoured  admission is  $25.00. This will take place in Speary Gym starting at 6:00p. This will be the first Induction since 2001

The Bogota Public Library  will kicked off their Summer Reading Program with a craft & activities event in the Bogota Senior Center. This Summers theme is "Build a Better World" and is focusing on reading about Science.     Bogota Beautiful will again host their Yoga in the Park classes. These will run every Saturday in May and June. Class will be one hour. These will take place each in Olsen Park and start at 9:00a. Classes will be led by a  Professional Yoga instructor. These classes are open to anyone regardless of age, or  experience.  The classes will meet at the Bandshell in Olsen Park depending on the number of attendees classes may be held in the bandshell or on the lawn in front of the bandshell. Everyone you wishes to attend is required to provide their own mat, towels, and water. Comfortable clothing that will allowed  free and ease of movement  should be worn. This is free to the public, however it is asked to contact  Bogota Beautiful at there website: bogotabeautiful.com to make a reservation for as many dates as you wish.  Bogota Beautiful will also have yoga mats available for purchase if needed  Please also visit the same website for more information or to donate to: bogotabeautiful.com

   Bogota Beautiful will host its first "FUNraise for Heart"event. This will take place from 10:00a to 2:00p. and will be held in Olsen Park. This will be a benefit for the American Heart Association in order to promote health and wellness. Activities will range from Jump Rope and other sports, to a walk along the Olsen Park Environmental walkway and chair yoga. Process will go to American Heart Association to assist their research in fighting Heart Disease. Anyone wishing to take part may start their own team , or joining the Bogota Beautiful team by signing on at: FUNraiser/ team Bogota Beautiful.

Ridgefield Park, NJ

   The Ridgefield Park Elks Lodge #1506 is hosting an Evening with Uncle Floyd. Proceeds from this event will go the Elks general fund. Tickets are priced at $40 per person and will include a beefsteak dinner and Open bar. There will also be a karaoke session available. The doors are scheduled to open at 6:00p.        The Library will have it's  Teen Advisory Group.  This is  an event open to grades 6-12. Group members will  participate in various activities and interact with peers. Bring your ideas, creativity, and enthusiasm to the table. The Bogota Public Library will offer an AARP  Defensive Driving Course. This is designed for drivers over the age of 50 and will explain update driving rules and teach defensive driving techniques. The weekly " Meet the Mayor"  event will take place in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman  This is open to any Bogota resident who would to ask the Mayor a question about  Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the Borough. Anyone who wishes just to have an informal conversation with the Mayor is also welcome to attend. Meetings will be held on a first come basis. This will run from 5:00p to 7:00p in the Mayor's office. His office is on in Bogota Borough Hall located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.
