Weekend Events

Some events scheduled to take place in and around Bogota  for the weekend  starting on Thursday-6-July  Times and dates may change due weather or other circumstances. Please contact the event for the most up to date information.  More events will be added when they become available.

Starting on Thursday-16 March the  Lt William Ryan Bridge will be closed for replacement.   Construction is schedule to take 10 Months to complete.

 The Bogota Borough Council will be holding their regular Council meeting  and work session starting at 7:30p.  It will take place Council Chambers on the second floor of the Bogota Borough Hall. This is located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.  This meeting is open to the public.

  The Teaneck Farmers Market will be open from now until Thursday 26-October from 12:00n to 5:00p It is located in the  Beverly Rd parking lot at Garrison Ave  Teaneck, NJ

Leonia, NJ
  Continuing to Sunday-9- July the Leonia Sports Boosters Club will be hosting their annual carnival.   This will take place in the Henry Hoebel area along Ft. Lee Rd  Leonia, NJ. Hours are weekdays 5:00p to 11:00p, weekends 12:00n to 11:00p. On Tuesday- 4-July the carnival will open at 2:00p with a fireworks show schedule at 9:30p

The Bogota  Public Library will host their weekly Fit Club. Hackensack, NJ

   The first of the Main St. Live Concert Series will take place in the Atlantic St. Park in Hackensack. The Concert if schedule to begin at 7:00p and will feature a performance by Exodus Supreme. They will a mixture of  R&B, Hip Hop, and Club music with a Calypso, Reggie, and African sounds. This is a free event with limited seating , it is advised to bring a blanket, or folding chairs.

Bogota
    Bogota Beautiful will again host their Yoga in the Park classes. These will run every Saturday in May and June. Class will be one hour. These will take place each in Olsen Park and start at 9:00a. Classes will be led by a  Professional Yoga instructor. These classes are open to anyone regardless of age, or  experience.  The classes will meet at the Bandshell in Olsen Park depending on the number of attendees classes may be held in the bandshell or on the lawn in front of the bandshell. Everyone you wishes to attend is required to provide their own mat, towels, and water. Comfortable clothing that will allowed  free and ease of movement  should be worn. This is free to the public, however it is asked to contact  Bogota Beautiful at there website: bogotabeautiful.com to make a reservation for as many dates as you wish.  Bogota Beautiful will also have yoga mats available for purchase if needed  Please also visit the same website for more information or to donate to: bogotabeautiful.com

       The Library will have its Teen Advisory Group.  This is  an event open to grades 6-12. Group members will  participate in various activities and interact with peers. Bring your ideas, creativity, and enthusiasm to the table.   The next book in the" Food for Thought" to be discussed will be "The Obituary Writer" by Ann Hood starting at 7:00p in on the second floor. Copies are now available at the Library.

    The weekly " Meet the Mayor"  event will take place in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman  This is open to any Bogota resident who would to ask the Mayor a question about  Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the Borough. Anyone who wishes just to have an informal conversation with the Mayor is also welcome to attend. Meetings will be held on a first come basis. This will run from 5:00p to 7:00p in the Mayor's office. His office is on in Bogota Borough Hall located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.
