 The Bogota Public Library's Nintendo club will host a Pokken championship starting at 6:00p

The weekly " Meet the Mayor"  event will take place in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman  This is open to any Bogota resident who would to ask the Mayor a question about  Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the Borough. Anyone who wishes just to have an informal conversation with the Mayor is also welcome to attend. Meetings will be held on a first come basis. This will run from 5:00p to 7:00p in the Mayor's office. His office is on in Bogota Borough Hall located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.

Hackensack, NJ

     The City of Hackensack will have its next session of the  Sunset Zumba series at the Atlantic St. Park. This is schedule to start at 7:30p, and is free to the public. Is this open to anyone wishing to practice, or learn about the benefits of Zumba Dance, regardless of skill level. Everyone you wishes to attend is required to provide their own, towels, and water. Comfortable clothing that will allowed  free and ease of movement  should be worn.

    The Bogota Police Emergency Service Youth Academy will hold their graduation ceremonies for Class 07 in the Steen School  starting at 7:00p This is a free event and is open to the public. This will be the seventh graduating  class of the Bogota Emergency  Service Youth Academy  which is being recognised as one of the premier Youth Academy in the State of New Jersey.   The Bogota Public Library will  present a lecture by Bogota resident Andrew Fede. Mr Fede will introduce his new book Homicide Justified: The Legality of Killing Slaves in the United States and the Atlantic World. Mr Fede will also share some tips on writing and publishing.  This is his third book on slavery explaining how slave owners got away with murder,and when the law legalized killings of enslaved people in many times and places – including Ancient Rome and the U.S.A. before the Civil War.  This will start at 7:00p and be held in the quiet study corner on the Library's first floor.

Ridgefield Park, NJ
 The next performance  in the McGowan Park Summer Concert series will feature Cornucopia with music from the Big Band and Swing eras The concert is scheduled to start at 7:00p in McGowan Park located on the Bergen Turnpike in Ridgefield Park, NJ It is advised that anyone attending bring their own lawn chairs ,or blankets.    The Cedar Lane Business  District will host a series of "Dance with US " starting at 7:00p. This will be held  the Chestnut Ave open space between Chestnut Ave, and Cedar Ln in Teaneck, NJ. This evenings lesson will be on the "Merengue Instructions will be provided by Lauren Faustini. This is a free event, and open to all ages and skill levels.

The Bogota  Public Library will host their weekly Fit Club.      The next session of Bogota Beautiful's  Yoga in the Park classes. The added classes, by popular demand,  will be held today. These continue for the next several Saturdays in August. Classes will be one hour and will take place each in Olsen Park and start at 9:00a. Classes will be led by  Professional Yoga instructor Denise Mercado. These classes are open to anyone regardless of age, or  experience.  The classes will meet at the Bandshell in Olsen Park depending on the number of attendees classes may be held in the bandshell or on the lawn in front of the bandshell. Everyone you wishes to attend is required to provide their own mat, towels, and water. Comfortable clothing that will allowed  free and ease of movement  should be worn. This is free to the public, however it is asked to contact  Bogota Beautiful at there website: bogotabeautiful.com to make a reservation for as many dates as you wish.  Bogota Beautiful will also have yoga mats available for purchase if needed  Please also visit the same website for more information or to donate to: bogotabeautiful.com

Ridgefield Park, NJ
    The Ridgefield Park Elks Lodge # 1506 will be holding a All you can eat Breakfast. This will start at 8:30a and go until 12:00 noon Prices are $10 for Adults and $5 for student 12 and under. The Breakfast will feature an Omelette station, Pancakes, Bacon,Sausage, French toast, & scrambled eggs. There will also be pastries, cereal along with Coffee, Tea, Milk & Juice. It is asked to bring some Non-perishable food items for the Local Food Pantry.
