This weeks Events

   Some events scheduled to take place in and around Bogota, for the week  starting on Sunday-6-August.  Times and dates may change due weather or other circumstances. Please contact the event for the most up to date information.  More events will be added when they become available.

 Starting on Thursday-16 March the  Lt William Ryan Bridge will be closed for replacement.   Construction is schedule to take 10 Months to complete.

       The Library will have its Teen Advisory Group.  This is  an event open to grades 6-12. Group members will  participate in various activities and interact with peers. Bring your ideas, creativity, and enthusiasm to the table.     The next  film  of the Bogota Library's movie club will be " The Salesman"  This will be held at the second floor Seniors Centre starting at 6:00p.     The weekly " Meet the Mayor"  event will take place in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman  This is open to any Bogota resident who would to ask the Mayor a question about  Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the Borough. Anyone who wishes just to have an informal conversation with the Mayor is also welcome to attend. Meetings will be held on a first come basis. This will run from 5:00p to 7:00p in the Mayor's office. His office is on in Bogota Borough Hall located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.

Hackensack, NJ

      The City of Hackensack will have its first session of the  Sunset Zumba series at the Atlantic St. Park. This is schedule to start at 7:30p, and is free to the public. Is this open to anyone wishing to practice, or learn about the benefits of Zumba Dance, regardless of skill level. Everyone you wishes to attend is required to provide their own, towels, and water. Comfortable clothing that will allowed  free and ease of movement  should be worn.

   Uniform sales for the 2017-18 school year for Steen  School will take place from 6:00p to 8:00p in the David Moore Gymnasium.  They will also be an opportunity to order Steen Spirit wear at this time.   Entrance to Steen School Steen playground located off of Orchard terr.  Bogota, NJ

The Bogota  Public Library will have  story time reading  starting at 10:30a.  This is open available to any Student wishing to join in.  This will be held  under the tree in the Nikki Spiegel Story Time Corner. Ridgefield Park, NJ


   The next performance  in the McGowan Park Summer Concert series will feature Waldwick Community Dance  with with a mix of Broadway, Popular and Classical The concert is scheduled to start at 7:00p in McGowan Park located on the Bergen Turnpike in Ridgefield Park, NJ It is advised that anyone attending bring their own lawn chairs ,or blankets. Rain date is the next day Thursday-10-August.  The concerts will take place every Wednesday until 31-August. For more information please contact  the Ridgefield Park's Village Clerk at 201-641-4950

The  Bogota Public library will present the movie "Boss Baby"  This will start at 6:00p and be held in the Seniors Center on the second floor. Admission is free with snacks  and water available for $1.00 with the process going to help fund future Library events.    The Cedar Lane Business  District will host a series of "Dance with US " starting at 7:00p. This will be held  the Chestnut Ave open space between Chestnut Ave, and Cedar Ln in Teaneck, NJ. This evenings lesson will be on the "Merengue Instructions will be provided by Lauren Faustini. This is a free event, and open to all ages and skill levels.

The Bogota  Public Library will host their weekly Fit Club.    The Bogota Swim Club will host its annual Camp-out. This is an opportunity for Families to spend the night out and sleep under the stars. There will be swimming until midnight along with movies, games, and water slide. Free S'Mores will be available at midnight. This is open to all Members and to non-members of the Bogota Swim Club. Advanced registration is $7.00 for members & $10.00 for non-members. At the door is $10.00 & $15.00 respectfully. Tents set-up begins at 7:30p  Lights out at 12:30a. The snack bar will be open, but  campers may bring their own food. It is asked that no glass containers be used.

Hackensack, NJ
 The final event of this seasons Main St. Live Concert Series will take place in the Atlantic St. Park in Hackensack. This will be a LGBTQ pride concertand  is schedule to begin at 7:00p  This is a free event with limited seating , it is advised to bring a blanket, or folding chairs.

Saturday-12-August
Bogota
  There will be bonus session of  Bogota Beautiful's  Yoga in the Park classes. The added classes, by popular demand, and will be held today. These continue for the next several Saturdays in August. Classes will be one hour and will take place each in Olsen Park and start at 9:00a. Classes will be led by  Professional Yoga instructor Denise Mercado. These classes are open to anyone regardless of age, or  experience.  The classes will meet at the Bandshell in Olsen Park depending on the number of attendees classes may be held in the bandshell or on the lawn in front of the bandshell. Everyone you wishes to attend is required to provide their own mat, towels, and water. Comfortable clothing that will allowed  free and ease of movement  should be worn. This is free to the public, however it is asked to contact  Bogota Beautiful at there website: bogotabeautiful.com to make a reservation for as many dates as you wish.  Bogota Beautiful will also have yoga mats available for purchase if needed  Please also visit the same website for more information or to donate to: bogotabeautiful.com

Ridgefield Park
   The Elks Lodge #1506 in Ridgefield Park will be holding a Pasta Dinner and Raffle night. This will held on the upper fllor of the Elks Hall located at the corner of Spruce and Cedar Sts. Doors will open at 5:30p and dinner will be served at 6:30p Tickets are priced at $25.00 per person and will include  dinner, desserts, and one sheet of small prize ticket. A cash bar will be available.  Process from this event will go to fund the Elks Charity fund. For more information  or to purchase tickets please contact Cathy Hamilton at the the lodge.
