Ridgefield Park Street Fair

19-September-2017
On Saturday-16- September the Village of Ridgefield Park  held their annual street festival.  Local shops and vendors, along with a number of community organization set up on Main St. to show their wares and to give out information to passers by. There was bounce houses and climbing  areas to entrain the Children at the north end. And a train ride, petting zoo, along with pony rides at the southern end of the fair. In between were numerous shopping opportunities. To take a break from shopping there was a chance to sample food items from the local restaurants and bakeries.
Community groups included the Volunteer Rescue Squad, Ambulance Squad and the Ridgefield Park Volunteer Fire Dept. The Ridgefield Park  Cheerleaders and the Ridgefield Park Lady Scarlets  held bake sales to raise money to assist with their programs.  The Ridgefield Park Moms, The Elks lodge #1506, with their Elk passed out information to the children.  There was also a opportunity to sign up for the Alzheimer's Association walk to be held in Overpeck Park on Sunday 15-October.  For more information about this event  please visit their website at: alz.org/njwalk
With a sunny, warm afternoon the festival was full with people taking a  Family walk down Main St. to see the sights, meet up with friends and have some treats.
