Weekend Events

 Some events scheduled to take place in and around Bogota, for the weekend starting on Thursday-7-September.  Times and dates may change due weather or other circumstances. Please contact the event for the most up to date information.  More events will be added when they become available.

 Starting on Thursday-16 March the  Lt William Ryan Bridge will be closed for replacement.   Construction is schedule to take 10 Months to complete. 



                                                                       

Charity 
Bayada Health Care, which has offices in Hackensack and other North Jersey locations, is working with the American Red Cross has set-up a donation page to assist those in need from the recent hurricane affecting the Gulf Coast.  The Bogota Borough Council will be holding their regular Council meeting  and work session starting at 7:30p.  It will take place Council Chambers on the second floor of the Bogota Borough Hall. This is located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.  This meeting is open to the public.

Teaneck, NJ

The Teaneck Farmers Market will be open from now until Thursday 26-October from 12:00n to 5:00p. There will be a special activity presented by the  Glen Pointe Fitness, and knife sharpening by Neil  Sharpening Service. This is scheduled to start at 2:30p.   The Teaneck Farmers Market is located in the  Beverly Rd parking lot at Garrison Ave  Teaneck, NJ.

   The Cedar Lane Business  District will host a series of Zumba starting at 7:00p. This will be held  the Chestnut Ave open space between Chestnut Ave, and Cedar Ln in Teaneck, NJ. This evenings lesson will be on the  This is a free event, and open to all ages and skill levels.

   The Bogota  Public Library  host their Toddler play group. This is an opportunity for   young children and their Parents to play and relax in a safe area. Bogota


  Bogota Beautiful and Bogart Memorial Church will be hosting a Block Party   that will take place on W. Ft Lee Rd between Larch and Elm Aves.  This will run from 2:00p to 6:00p and is open to the Public.   It will be a potluck event and it is asked that any food item will be enough to share with the rest of the attendees. There will be grills available for use on a limited basis. The  Bogart  School's basketball court and the playground, along with a bounce house. Performances by local artist are scheduled including an open mic segment.

  The Library will have its Teen Advisory Group.  This is  an event open to grades 6-12. Group members will  participate in various activities and interact with peers. Bring your ideas, creativity, and enthusiasm to the table.     The next book in the" Food for Thought" to be discussed will be "Reading Lolita in Tehran" by Azar Nafisi starting at 7:00p in on the second floor. Copies are now available at the Library.

The weekly " Meet the Mayor"  event will take place in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman  This is open to any Bogota resident who would to ask the Mayor a question about  Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the Borough. Anyone who wishes just to have an informal conversation with the Mayor is also welcome to attend. Meetings will be held on a first come basis. This will run from 5:00p to 7:00p in the Mayor's office. His office is on in Bogota Borough Hall located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.

Monday-11-September
Hackensack, NJ

     The City of Hackensack will have a Sunset Yoga session at the Atlantic St. Park. This is schedule to start at 7:30p, and is free to the public. Is this open to anyone wishing to practice, or learn about the benefits of Yoga, regardless of skill level. Everyone you wishes to attend is required to provide their own, towels, and water. Comfortable clothing that will allowed  free and ease of movement  should be worn.

Bogota Sports

Friday-8-Sept
Volleyball-            vs Saddle River Day School  4:00p at Speary Gym. This will be the first regular season varsity sport to be played in the renovated  gym 
Soccer-                    at Saddle River Day School  4:00p
Football-                vs Weehawken  7:00p at Fiegel Field. This will be the annual evening Home game for Bogota

Cross Country-    Season Opening meet at Darlington Park
