Weekend Events

Some events scheduled to take place in and around Bogota, for the weekend starting on Thursday-14-September.  Times and dates may change due weather or other circumstances. Please contact the event for the most up to date information.  More events will be added when they become available.

 Starting on Thursday-16 March the  Lt William Ryan Bridge will be closed for replacement.   Construction is schedule to take 10 Months to complete. 



                                                                       

Charity 
Bayada Health Care, which has offices in Hackensack and other North Jersey locations, is working with the American Red Cross has set-up a donation page to assist those in need from the recent hurricane affecting the Gulf Coast. The  Bogota Public library will present the movie "Captain Underpants"  This will start at 6:00p and be held in the Seniors Center on the second floor. Admission is free with snacks  and water available for $1.00 with the process going to help fund future Library events. The Teaneck Farmers Market will be open from now until Thursday 26-October from 12:00n to 6:00p. The Community Blood Services will be accepting blood donations from noon to 6:00p . There will also be free blood pressure screen and other health advice by staff from  Holy Name Hospital. The Teaneck Farmers Market is located in the  Beverly Rd parking lot at Garrison Ave  Teaneck, NJ.

   The Cedar Lane Business  District will host a series of Zumba classes starting at 7:00p. This will be held  the Chestnut Ave open space between Chestnut Ave, and Cedar Ln in Teaneck, NJ. This is a free event, and open to all ages and skill levels.

   The Bogota  Public Library  host their Toddler play group. This is an opportunity for   young children and their Parents to play and relax in a safe area. Bogota
  The Bogota Public Library will host a workshop for young athletes in Bogota  This will be the first of four Saturday's to encourage Students to learn more about how learning any sport can be beneficial in everyday life. It will be in two separate age groups.  One group for anyone ages from 2-4 will run from 10:30a to 11:00a. The second group will be for ages 5-7 and start at 11:15a to 12:00 noon.  The Parents of Bogota Football will host an Comedy Night held at the Bogota VFW Post#5561 in their Main Hall.  Located at 240 Leonia Ave Bogota, NJ.  Doors will open at 7:00p, tickets are priced at $25.00 per person. Dessert will be provided and  will be a cash bar available, and is an adult only event. Scheduled to perform will be  Sherry Davey from Nickelodeons " Nick's Moms Night Out" and headlined by Johnny Lampert  from " Live from Gotham Comedy".  Additional details will be posted when they are made available.   Proceeds from this event will be used by  The Parents for Bogota Football to help assist the players  by severing a Game day breakfast, sponsor Students who need assistance in attending Summer camps, and other services to allow the players to focus on the game.

Ridgefield Park, NJ 
     
      The Village of Ridgefield Park  will host its annual Fall Festival and Street Fair. This run from 10:00a to 5:00p and will take place on Main St from Cedar St. to Park St. This will feature live entertainment from local artist.  Events for Children including rides, Arts and Crafts and other activities will be available.  Local vendors will be set up selling food items and merchandise.

   The Ridgefield park Library will host its 11th annual Afternoon Tea from  2:00p to 4:00p. Tickets are priced at $15.00 per person which will include a variety of teas, treats, and sweets. The Bogota Public Library will offer an AARP  Defensive Driving Course. This is designed for drivers over the age of 50 and will explain update driving rules and teach defensive driving techniques. This is designed to have a moment of relaxation by joining other for some cookies & coffee while passing the time to do some colouring. This is open to anyone 16 years of age or over. The weekly " Meet the Mayor"  event will take place in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman  This is open to any Bogota resident who would to ask the Mayor a question about  Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the Borough. Anyone who wishes just to have an informal conversation with the Mayor is also welcome to attend. Meetings will be held on a first come basis. This will run from 5:00p to 7:00p in the Mayor's office. His office is on in Bogota Borough Hall located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.

Ridgefield Park, NJ
   The Ridgefield Park's  Elks Lodge #1506 will hold its annual Cassetta-Dietrich Memorial Golf Outing at the Overpeck County Golf Course in Teaneck, NJ.   Registration opens at 8:30 a with a Tee Time at 9:00a. This will be followed by a Beefsteak Dinner that evening. Tickets for both the golfing  and dinner are priced at $125 per person. For the dinner alone is 35 per person. Proceeds from these events will go to assist the Veterans Service Committee along with other Elks charities. Registration and payments must be made before Monday 11-September.
