Weekend Sports

   Results from other sports by Bogota sports team on Saturday-21-October. The Bogota Junior Bucs football teams sweep those of Palisades Park.  The Pee-Wee team had a 12-7 win. David Perez and Hamlet Garcia each score a touchdown. In the Junior game Mike Olivo score a touchdown hat trick with three major scores. Joseph Perpepaj also had a touch down in a 28-0 shutout. The Senior team also shout out the Jr Tigers 28-0 with Gabriel Nunez, Matthew Levesque, and Youssef Samuel score for Bogota.
   Their next game will be Sunday-29-October against Cliffside Park. The Pee-Wee game is schedule for a 1:00p kick-off with the other divisions to follow. This is a new date due to the High School Football game to be played on Saturday.



  The Bogota Cross Country squads competed in the Bergen County group championships races at Darlington Park. In the Varsity Group "D" Womens race  The lady Bucs finished second in the the six team meet. This finish advances the Lady Bucs to the County Meet of Champions. Angelina Jaipersaud finished third with Alanah O'Brien placing ninth. Gabrielle Grant came in 12th and Ashley Gomez 14th.
  In the Men's Varsity Group "D" race  Jimmy Gutierrez finished fifth and Jesus Michel came in eight. With their top ten finish both Men will compete in the County Meet of Champions. The County Meet of Champions will be held on Saturday -28-October, and be held at the Darlington Park race course.



  The Bogota Lady Bucs Volleyball team advanced to the Quarterfinals of the Bergen County Volleyball Tournament.  They had a 2-0 (25-23 : 27-25) win over Ridgewood. Anna Granquist had 12 Service Points with 2 Aces. Leila Ksiyer scored a career high of 12 Kills.  Alyssa Vazquez tied her career best with 26 Assist.  Lisbeth Suarez record a season high of 22 Digs and Jaelyn grullon had 4 Blocks. Bogota record is now 21-1. Bogota will now play Immaculate Heart Academy on  Tuesday 24-October with the first serve scheduled for 6:30p. This will take place at Northern Valley High School at Old Tappan.
