Bogota Sports

  The Bogota/ Weehawken Wrestling squad have been ranked at #7  in the North 1 Group 1 Tournament. They will travel to #2 Pompton Lakes for a Quarterfinal match on Monday-5-February. The first bout is scheduled for 7:00p

  The Bogota Bowling Bucs lost to Harrison 0-7 Their next meet is on Tuesday-6- January at the Parkway Lanes in Elmwood Park, NJ



  The Men's Basketball Bucs traveled to Park Ridge to play the Owls. The Park Ridge defense started the game by focusing their pressure on Dieker Padrino and Tim Uzor. The home was able to have a 2 point lead at the end of the quater.  A series of  three point scores by Argenis Soriano loosen up the Owls defense in the second eight minutes. Bogota found it's scoring touch and move ahead in the game resulting in 32-22 lead for the Bucs. Bogota continued to out pace the Owls in the second half finishing with a 76-40 win. Argenis Soriano had game high's of 23 Points and 5 Three Point Baskets. Justyn Vallinalso scored 2 three pointers from Bogota. Their record is now 12-3. Bogota's next game is on Thursday 1-February against  Midland Park on the Jay Mahoney Court at Speary Gym. This is scheduled to have a tip-off of 7:00p 






  

    The Bogota Lady Bucs Basketball team host the Lady Owl of Park Ridge on the Jay Mahoney Court. Bogota got into foul trouble in the first half allowing Park Ridge to recieve a dozen point from the free throw line. This pushed the Lady Owls to build a 32-16 lead at half time. Even playing a more discipline second half Bogota could not close the gap and fell to Park Ridge 37-60. The Lady Owl's Shannon Burns lead all scorers with 21 Points. Bogota's Leila Ksiyer had a game high with 4 Three Point Baskets. Ms Ksiyer was the Lady Bucs high scorer with 16 Points. Gwyneth Trujillo  with 2, and Amanda Schlosser with one were the other Bogota Three point scorers. 
  Bogota's record is now 0-11. They next play on Thursday-1-February at Midland Park. This is scheduled to have a 4:00p tip off

Teaneck Fire

  A fire in Teaneck on Sunday 28-January cause loss of life and damaged to a neighboring home. For more information please go to the following link:

    The Teaneck Policeman’s Benevolent Association, Local 215 is accepting the donation of new clothing for the Schreck family of Sherman Avenue,  the neighboring house,who lost their possessions in this  house fire. The Teaneck Police are accepting donations  at Teaneck Police Headquarters, 900 Teaneck Road, Teaneck, N.J.

Pep Rally

29-January-2018
   On Friday-26-January the Students of Bogota High School gathered in Speary Gym to celebrate the Winter Varsity Sports team.  Members of the Men's and Women's Basketball teams. The Bogota Wrestling Squad, and the Bogota Bowling Bucs were introduce to their classmates in a display of Bucs Pride.  The upperclassmen  also acknowledge the Middle School Athletics from both Basketball teams and the Young Bucs Wrestling Squad.
  There were performances by the Co-Ed Elite Bucs Cheer Squad, The Bogota Twirlers  the Bogota Marching Buccaneer Band and the Color Guard Drill team.
  The end of the rally feature a quick Three Point Basketball context by select members of the High School Class.
