Bogota Basketball

 On Thursday-15-February the varsity teams from Bogota played those from Cresskill. The Men's Basketball Bucs travel to Cresskill to play the Cougars. The home team took full control of the game from the first quater and built a 20 6 lead. Bogota played an even second eight minutes by Cresskill was able to take a 38-23 advantage into the locker room. The Cougars kept control for most of the second half on their way to a 70-56 win. During the game Cresskill's Luka Radovich was able to reach the 1,000 point mark in his varsity career.  For Bogota Dieker Padrino  had a game high of 24 points including 4 Three point baskets. With this total Mr. Padrino now moves into fourth place in Bogota all time scoring passing Gerard Devine class of 1990 with 1,345 total points. Mr. Padrino is also 6th in All time Three Point Baskets with 185. Tim Uzor with 2 and Dejuan Johnson with one also were the Bucs three point scorers.
   Bogota's record in now 16-4. They next play on Friday-16-February against Waldwick. This will be the Senior Game for the men's team on the Jay Mahoney Court at Speary Gym. Tip -off time is scheduled for 7:00p




   The Lady Bucs hosted the Lady Cougars on the Jay Mahoney Court at Speary Gym. Cresskill moved out to a big lead in the first half  by the score of 35-8. Bogota was never allowed to set plays and were forced in to a number of turn over losing the game 26-60.  Amanda Schlosser led Bogota in Scoring with 10 Points including a team high 2 Three Point Baskets. Leila Ksiyer would also record a Three point basket for Bogota. Their record is now 3-14. Their next game is on Friday-16-February at Waldwick this has a tip off time  scheduled for 5:30p
