Police Unity Tour fundraiser

   On Monday-26-March members of the Bogota, Montvale & Leonia Police Dept hosted a Social Night to support the Police Unity Riders. They will be joined by members of the Broward Sheriff's Dept.  Officer Jerome Fowler will represent the Bogota Police Dept.  as a part of the Chapter #1 contingent.  Other members are: Alisha Foley from Montvale  Donnard Huneke from the  Broward County Sheriff's Dept. with John Longo, Sihoon Chung, Raymond Forsdahl & Christopher Garris from Leonia.
   This was to raise money for the 2018 Police Unity Tour in May of 2018.  Processes from the ride will  go to the National Law  Enforcement  Officer's Memorial and Museum,  in Washington DC. The primary purpose of the Police Unity Tour is to raise awareness of Law Enforcement Officers who have died in the line of duty. With a secondary purpose is to raise funds for the National Law Enforcement Officer’s Memorial and Museum. The tour started in 1997 in Florham Park with 18 riders in order to bring awareness of Police Officers who have been lost in the line of duty to the public. This first ride raised about $18,000 for the National Law Enforcement Officer's Memorial. Over the first  20 years of the tour, over 20 million dollars for the National Law  Enforcement Officer's Memorial and Museum, along with the  Recently Fallen Alert program
