    Some events scheduled to take place in and around Bogota, for the week starting  on Sunday-13-May. Times and dates may change due weather or other circumstances. Please contact the event for the most up to date information.  More events will be added when they become available.

Continuing
 Starting on Monday-26- February the main parking lot and front entrance to Bogota High School will be closed. This is due to the reconstruction of the Parking lot. Work is scheduled to continue until First week of September-2018.   All access to the High School will be through the side door on the North side of the building.





Continuing 
   The Bogota Police Dept has issued a traffic alert for Thursday-16-November. The Suez water company will be working on the main water line under the street.  Work is schedule  to continue until late January -2018. This will occur on W. Main St. between Larch and Elm Aves. This is scheduled to start at 7:00a and run to 4:00p. All parking on W.Main will be suspend during this time. Traffic in both directions may be detoured during this project, please plan alternate routes. Business parking will be permitted on both Larch and Elm Aves and may cause additional congestion on those streets.






Continuing
   
    On or about Monday-21-May  the New York Susquehanna & Western Railway (NYSW) will replace the current crossing at W. Ft. Lee rd. This work is scheduled to last for five days causing  W. Ft. Lee rd from River rd in Bogota to the west side of the crossing to be closed. W. Ft. Lee from the Hackensack River to the Jesco building will remain open from the Hackensack approach.

Ridgefield Park, NJ
  The Ridgefield Park Elks Lodge # 1506 will be holding a All you can eat Breakfast. This will start at 8:30a and go until 12:00 noon Prices are $10 for Adults and $5 for student 12 and under. The Breakfast will feature an Omelette station, Pancakes, Bacon,Sausage, French toast, & scrambled eggs. There will also be pastries, cereal along with Coffee, Tea, Milk & Juice. It is asked to bring some Non-perishable food items for the Local Food Pantry.
The Elks lodge is located at the Corner of Spruce & Cedar Sts. Ridgefield Park, NJ

    The Library will have its Teen Advisory Group meeting.  This is  an event open to  Students in grades 6-12. Group members will  participate in various activities and interact with peers. Bring your ideas, creativity, and enthusiasm to the table.     The weekly " Meet the Mayor"  event will take place in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman This is open to any Bogota resident who would to ask the Mayor a question about  Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the Borough. Anyone who wishes just to have an informal conversation with the Mayor is also welcome to attend. Meetings will be held on a first come basis. This will run from 5:00p to 7:00p in the Mayor's office. His office is on in Bogota Borough Hall located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.

  The Bogota  Public Library will  host Yoga classes lead by Conor Michael Murphy. This is open to anyone 18 years or older regardless of their level. It is asked anyone wishing to attend please bring their own yoga mat, or towel, and their own water bottle. The Bogota Board of Education will have their regular meeting and work session. Action may will be taken at this meeting. This will be held in the Bogota High  School  Cafeteria starting at 6:00p. This is open to the public. The Cafeteria is located on the second floor at 2 Henry Luthin Pl. Bogota, NJ

Wednesday & Thursday-16 &17 -May

    The Bogota  Public Library will have  story time reading  starting at 10:30a.  This is open available to any Student wishing to join in.  This will be held  under the tree in the Nikki Spiegel Story Time Corner. Bogota Beautiful has their next board meeting starting at 7:30p. This is schedule to take place at the Kennedy Emergency Service Building located at 69 W. Main St. Bogota, NJ. The Public is welcome to attend. For more information please visit their website at:

Thursday-17-May
Bogota
   The Bogota High School Department of Music will host their Spring Concert. This will feature performances by the Concert band, and the Jazz band under the direction of Mr. Barry McCann. There will also be performance by the Full Choir, and the Women's and Men's Choirs. All of these will be under the direction of Ms. Andrea Lynch. The Spring Concert will take place in the Bogota High School Auditorium beginning at 7:30p.  There is no charge for Admission. Band parents are asked to bring food items to by sold at the concession  stand. Ticket will be on sale for the Arts dinner on Wednesday-13-June.

The Bogota Borough Council will be holding their regular meeting and work session this is schedule to start at 7:30p. It will take place in the Council Chambers located on the second floor at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.  This meeting is open to the public.

   The Bogota  Public Library  host their Toddler play group. This is an opportunity for   young children and their Parents to play and relax in a safe area. Trinity Lutheran Church in Bogota  will be celebrating  the arrival of Spring by dancing the night away from 5:30-8:00 pm. Their spring fling will feature a DJ, games, photo booth, snacks and more. They ask for your best spring dress, your dancing shoes, bring a friend and come on by. It’ll be a lot more fun with you there. RSVP to Pastor Rachel: rzarnke@gmail.com

Saturday-12-May
Bogota
   Bogota Beautiful will again host their Yoga in the Park classes. These will run every Saturday in starting  May Class will be one hour and will take place each in Olsen Park and start at 9:00a. Classes will be led by a  Professional Yoga instructor.  The instructors  scheduled this year at Lynn Demetrakis and Kathryn Livingston. The classes are open to anyone regardless of age, or  experience.  The classes will meet at the Band shell in Olsen Park depending on the number of attendees classes may be held in the band shell or on the lawn in front of the band shell. Everyone you wishes to attend is required to provide their own mat, towels, and water. Comfortable clothing that will allowed  free and ease of movement  should be worn. This is free to the public, however it is asked to contact  Bogota Beautiful at there website: bogotabeautiful.com to make a reservation for as many dates as you wish.
