Primary Elections

4-June-2018
  On Tuesday-5-June the State of  New Jersey will hold its Primary Elections for 2018. 
The polls will be opening at 6:00a and remaining open until 8:00p.
                      (candidates are listed  in order as they appear on the ballot)

Bogota Borough Council two three year terms.

- For the Democratic party:  Consuelo Carpenter and Robert Robbins
- For the Republican party :  Incumbent Councilwoman Daniele Fede and Rebecca Youla

Councilwoman Fede will be running for reelection to her second full term on the Bogota Council. Ms. Youla will be running for the first time for Bogota Council.
Ms. Carpenter will be running for the second time for Bogota Council. She has previous served on the Bogota Board of Education. Mr. Robbins will be running for Council for a second time. He had been previous elected to council and served for one term. He has also served on the Bogota Board of Education.


County Committee one male and one female
- For the Democratic party:  Robert Ferro and Michelle Rupar
- For the Republican party : Niall O'Hagan and Daniele Fede

Bergen County Executive one four year term

- For the Democratic party:  Incumbent  James Tedesco
- For the Republican party : Paul Duggan, and Norman Schmelz

Bergen County Freeholder two three year terms
 - For the Democratic party:  Incumbent Steven Tanelli and Tracy Zur
- For the Republican party :   Kevin Parany, Hector Olmo, Edward Mazlish, and Eric Kulmala

For United State Senate for six year term
For the Democratic party: Incumbent Senator Robert Menendez and Lisa McCormick
For the Republican party: Brian Goldberg,Bob Hugin 

Other candidates not appearing on the primary  ballot:
Antonio Sabas and Dana Wefer
For the Libertarian party:  Murray Sabrin
As an Independent: Muhammad Usman


For United State House of Representative for New Jersey's 5th District one two year term
For the Democratic party: Incumbent  Congressman Josh Gottheimer
For the Republican party: Steve Lonegan and John McCann

The  primary election will be on Tuesday- 5- June with the polls opening at 6:00a and remaining open until 8:00p.
Polls are located at the at :
-- For Districts 1& 6 it is the Bogota Recreation Center at 162 W. Main St.
   Districts 1&6 is that part of the Borough located West of the Railroad tracks.

-- For Districts 2&3 it is the Gym of  Bogota High School at 1 Henry Luthin Pl.  please use the door towards the back of the building on the North side of the Building.
  Districts 2& 3  is that part of the Borough located East of the Railroad tracks & North of Beechwood Ave

--  For Districts 4&5 it is  in the Gym of the Roy Bixby School at Maplewood & Fischer Aves.
     Districts 4 &5  is that part of the Borough located East of the Railroad tracks & South of Beechwood Ave.

The Bogota Public Schools will have a half day on Tuesday-6-June with a lunchtime dismissal  in order for the school to used as a polling location.
