At the Borough Council Meeting  a number of ideas were brought up for discussion some were:
- when Bogota Day  2013 should be , one thought was in  May, but many members of Council preferred a weekend in  mid June. One reason is so resident would be back from Memorial Day, and still in town before the 4th of July. Another idea was to move the event from Olsen Park to have it as a "Block Party" event Larch Ave was just one thought, with no final decisions being made.
- another topic was how the Board of Education, the Office of Emergency Management, and the Bogota Police dept can work together to insure the safety of the students at in the Borough's school.
- one other item was to find a Temporary Driver for the Senior Citizen bus while the current drive is away on Vacation. And to find a near by Doctor to do physicals for the Fire and Police dept.
The biggest item can at the end of the meeting when Mayor McHale read a letter of resignation from Borough Administration , and CFO Leonard Nicolosi. Mr Nicolosi has found a position in a private sector company, and would not be able to perform his duties to the Borough as needed. He will remain at his present position until 12- March -2013 when his resignation will then take affect. Mr. Nicolosi thanked members of Council, and Borough staff for his experience of serving  Bogota in number of position including that of Mayor from 1988 to 95. He has served as Borough Administrator since 2008. Mayor McHale , and other members of Council then thank Mr. Nicolosi for his service to the Borough , and wished him well.
