April Events

Friday-7-April
Bogota
Closings for Good Friday
 The Bogota Public library will be close. The library will reopen at its regular time on Saturday-8-April.
 The Bogota Borough Hall will be close on Friday. Borough Hall will reopen at its regular time on Monday-10-April
 The Bogota Department of Public Works will be closed. The Recycling Center will reopen at its regular time on Monday-10-April. 





Friday-7-April to Monday-17-April. 
Bogota
Bogota Public Schools will have a half day and be closed for the Spring Recess. They will reopen on Monday-10-April with a full session. 







Saturday-15-April
Bogota
   Due to predicted weather the Bogota Recreation Department has rescheduled their annual Easter Egg Hunt to Saturday-15-April. This will be held in Olsen Park near the Environmental Walkway. This will start with the Pre-School and Kindergarten grade at 10:00a. Then the next two grade levels every half hour up to grade six.

Monday-17-April
Bogota

Members of the Bergen Bikers, which includes officers, from the Bogota, Ridgefield Park, Leonia, Cliffside Park, & Montvale Police Departments will host a Social Night to support the Police Unity Tour Riders.  The event starts at 6:00p and will go until 10:00p This will take place at the 101 Pub located at 101 Queen Anne Rd. Bogota, NJ. Tickets are $30 per person and will be available at the door. This is a fundraising event for the Police Unity Tour in May. This year the Northern New Jersey Chapter will begin its ride on Tuseday-9-May and arrive in Washington DC on Friday-12-May. They will then be a part of the candlelight vigil the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C. on Saturday-13-May

Saturday-22-April
Bogota
Bogota Beautiful will hold a clean-up of the Bogota Community Garden. The event is co-sponsored by the Bogota Environmental Commission & Bogota Green Team. This will be held on Saturday-22-April beginning at 2:00p. It will take place at the Bogota Community Garden located at 246 River Rd. Bogota, NJ.  This is open to the Public for people of all ages. Local artist will be beautifying the garden shed by painting the structure. Volunteers will work on garden by removing debris, dry leaves and weeds, turning over soil and planting a garden bed with seeds. It is recommended that everyone attending have their own gardening gloves and wear sturdy work clothes and shoes.  
 During this event they will be collecting clean plastic toys for Second Chance Toys, a charitable initiative to rescue and recycle gently loved plastic toys for children in need. Your efforts will make a difference and provide the much-needed tools for play and social development.
  Music and refreshments will be available during the event.
 Community service hours will be provided for high school students. Anyone interested in volunteering for this event, please register at:

  The Friends of the Bogota Library will host a Spring Tea starting at 2:00p. Tickets are at $25.00 per Adult, or $40.00 per couple. $10.00 for Students 10 years or older Proceeds benefit the Friends and their contributions to library programs and services. Advanced tickets only. Deadline to purchase is April 15, 2023. Tricky Tray raffle tickets will also be sold at this event. This will be held in the Library located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ

The Bogota Recreation Department will sponsor a Basketball Clinic starting on Friday-3-March The Clinic is open to all Students From Pre-Kindergarten to Second Grade. This will be run by Coach Leo and take place in the Moore gym at Steen School. Classes will run until Friday-9-June and is priced at $160.00 for resident and $200.00 for non-residents.  The Bogota Recreation Department will sponsor Baton Twirling and Pom Dance workshops from now until Saturday 2-May. These will take place in the Bogota High School Cafeteria starting at 9:15a for grade Kindergarten to Second.  Other age groups will follow. Cost is $155.00 for residents, and $180.00 for non-resident. The Bogota Recreation Department will sponsor Tennis Clinic starting on Monday-27-March. This will be held in the Bixby School starting at 6:00p. Classes for 10 sessions at priced at $180.00.
