  Some events happening in and around Bogota for the week starting on Monday-30- November.

Continuing
   The Bogota Public Library has a number of stations dedicated to the collect items to be recycled.  One is a box to collect old, and used Crayola coloured makers. Makers collected will be send to the Crayola company to be reprocessed. For more information please visit ther web site at;  http://www.crayola.com/colorcycle

  Another collection drop is for old, non-working holiday string lights. This is a project sponsored by the Bogota Green team and Bogota Beautiful. They will collecting this lights from now until Monday -21-December.  Process from collecting these lights will go to help fund the Bogtoa Beautiful spring planting.  Other string light drop-off points are Borough Hall, All three of the Bogota Public Schools and the Bogota Dept. of Public Works.  The Mighty Writers Workshop for Adults is scheduled from 5:30p to 6:30p.

       The weekly " Meet the Mayor"  event will take place in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman  This is open to any Bogota resident who would to ask the Mayor a question about  Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the Borough. Anyone who wishes just to have an informal conversation with the Mayor is also welcome to attend. Meetings will be held on a first come basis. This will run from 5:00p to 7:00p in the Mayor's office. His office is on in Bogota Borough Hall located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.

The Bogota Borough Council will be holding their regular Council meeting  and work session starting at 7:30p. It will take place in the Council Chambers of Borough Hall. Borough Hall is located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.  This meeting is open to the public.

Friday & Saturday 4 & 5-Dec
Bogota
   The Bogota High School Drama Dept. will present "Sherlock Holmes" Tickets are $7.00 for Adults and $5.00 for Students and Seniors. Tickets will be available at the door. Doors open at 6:30p with the Curtain at 7:00p. This will be held in the High School Auditorium located on the first floor of Bogota High School  at 2 henry Luthin pl. Bogtoa, NJ

Saturday - 5-Dec
Bogota
Steen School will be holding a Holiday Bazaar from 11:00a to 4:00p in the Steen Gym. Admission will be free. There will be Vendors selling arts & craft.  There will also be Craft for t the Students and Photos with Santa.

Bogota
  The Bogota Volunteer will hold it's annual Chief's Election starting at 7:00p. This will be held in the Seniors Center located on the second floor  at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ. This is when a new Fire Chief will be appointed for the year 2016, and awards to members of the Bogota Volunteer Fire Dept for their outstanding performance in 2015. This is open to the Public.

Sunday-6-Dec
Hackensack, NJ
     Bixby School will be hosting a Flapjack breakfast as a fundraiser for the sixth grade class of 2016. This will be held at the Applebee's restaurant in Hackensack on Sunday 6-December.    The Bogota Girls Scouts troop #94500 will hold a blood drive at the Bogota Recreation Center located at 162 W. Main St. Bogota, N. This will run from 1:00p to 5:00p. Any donor that  is registred on that day the Community Blood Service will donate a book to the Bogota Public Library. Apple pie making

25-November-2015

  On Tuesday 24-November the Bogota Public Library hosted an Apple Pie making workshop. Lead by Cali Skrnich, she showed the steps in making an Apple pie for a Holiday dessert. The attendees started with making dough from scratch, Forming it in a pie pan, Cutting and seasoning apples, and making a crumble for the topping. These will be then cooked in the ovens for their Holiday guest. There were bakers learning the craft for the first time, while others wanting to get some new tips in pie making. A few families came together to share some time with each other while making some they can share with each other.

Lady Bucs Volleyball

24-November-2015

   The North Jersey Interscholastic Conference has announced their post season award for Women's Volleyball. Four of the Bogota Lady Bucs were named to the Patriot Division first team.  They are Amanda Manzo, Samantha Gioiosa, Julia Goni, and Lisbeth Suarez. Two players were named to the Second Team Kaliana Vasquez and Jaelyn Grullon. While Rina Garay  was received an Honorable Mention.
