On Saturday-21-March, the Bogota Recreation Department held its annual Egg Hunt on the Little League Field in Olsen Park. As the Children gathered they were entertained by magician Mr. Vince Valenzi who performed a number of tricks. During the show he asked for some young volunteers to assist him with some of the tricks.
There was also a couple of tables set up from Beetch Barn Craft and Bogota BACSA with craft items to colour and take home.
When the time came to start the Egg Hunt, the Children were placed in separate groups based on age from preschool up to third grade. The ground was covered with eggs spread all around, so each group had room for their ages.
Then the children were given the signal to race for the eggs. Some were accompanied by their Parent as they ran across the field gathering eggs.
After the search, the Easter Bunny was on hand to thank everyone for coming by and to pose for photos. Mr. Valenzi also stayed to make balloon sculptures for all the Children who wanted one.
