Early Presents

 24-December-2020

On Thursday-24-December Santa  Claus  helped the Bogota Police Department give early Christmas Present for Family in need. This year Santa set-up a satellite work shop at the Bogota Recreation Centre.  Donations that were collected by the Police Departmental over the last few weeks were sorted and placed in sacks to fill each Families wish list.  Santa welcomed the Families he invited to come visited him there. Everyone was greeted by Santa, and the  Police  Officers who would present the gifts.  Children had the time to talk with Santa, and he could find out how they were doing over the past years.  In addition to the presents a few Children were also given new coats to replace the ones they have out grown since last Christmas. Family posed with a few photos with Santa, and the Officers.  Members of Bogota Volunteer Fire Dept. Engine Co. #3 on hand to help with the celebrations. The Police Dept. also arranged rides home for some of the Families.
For all the work the Police Officers have done, to help Bogota Families, they received their own gift. Local Restaurant Morales Pizzeria delivered a number of pies, and a pasta dish to keep them warm was they waited for the next family to arrive. This year the Bogota Police again partnered with the Bogota Fire Department for their support. Visit from Santa

 25-December-2020

On Christmas Eve members of the Bogota Volunteer Fire Department guided Santa Claus around the Borough for one more time before his midnight flight. Even with a slight rain falling Santa was still able to tour the streets of Bogota. As the caravan started on its way, Holiday wishes held the showers at bay so as many Children as possible could see him pass by to Sitting on top of Hook and Ladder #1 company's Equipment and escorted by the rest of the Bogota Volunteer Fire Dept. he made his through the streets waving to the children wishing them a Merry Christmas. Santa tossed lollipops to them for their first presents of the evening.  After one more cheerful wave Santa would be on his way, in order to get ready for his most anticipate job to follow.
