The Bogota Recreation Dept. has announce the formation of a Choral Group for the students in Grades 4-6 of Bogota Schools. The Bogota Vocaleers will be lead by Bixby School's Melissa Swietlicki. She will teach students singing and performing techniques. Starting in September there will be rehearsals, in a lead up to seasonal shows.
Cost will be $125 for a "School Year" Sept. - June with rehearsals held Thursday between 3:45 -4:45 at Bixby School. Last day of registration is 5- August -2011

St. Joseph's Golf Dinner

St. Joseph's Academy had their dinner for the Golf Outing at the school gym. The dinner was held in conjugation with the Golf Outing held early in the day at Overpeck Golf Course. The highlight of the dinner was the tricky-tray raffle.

Bogota Day Music
12 -June -2011
Bogota Day 2011 had it's usual share of music to get the festivities going through out the day. With D.J. Eddie Dee keeping the beat going along with some live acts. The Days music started with the Bogota High School Jazz Band followed by a performance by the High School Choir. The Bergen Chinese School had a demonstration of traditional Chinese dances,along with a Lion dancing through out Olsen Park. With the "Troy Willy Band" finishing up the night.
