On Wednesday-2-September, the Bogota Lady Bucs Volleyball team played their Home opening match for the 2026 season in Speary Gym.
They hosted the Wallington Lady Panthers. Bogota served first to open the match and recorded the first points. Wallington then took a side out and scored again to take a 2 to 1 lead. When the Lady Bucs recovered the serve, Ariana Marchant would push the Lady Bucs on a 13 Point run. Bogota would go on to win the first set by a score of 25 to 6.
The second set started with the Lady Panthers taking a 2 to 0 advantage.
When Bogota had their chance at service, Nikole Alvarez served for the next 11 points. Bogota went on to win the set by the score of 25 to 10, and 2 to 0 match win.
Ms. Marchant would finish with match and career highs of 16 Service Points including 6 Aces. Talia Luciano recorded 8 Kills. Miranda Villamil, Ariana Marchant, and Lucy Villamar all scored 4 Digs. Nikole Alvarez had 22 Assists.
Bogota record is now 2-0.
Their next league match is on Tuesday-8-September when the host Secaucus in Speary Gym. The first serve is scheduled for 6:00p
