 On Thursday-24-September, the Bogota Borough Council held their Regular meeting for the month.
Following the Pledge of Allegiance Mayor Daniele Fede asked for a moment of silence to remember Mr. Robert Wolowitz who passed away in September at the age of 77.
 After Citizens Remarks, the Council introduced a number of ordinances, they are.
- Bond Ordinance 1660- to Authorize the Making of Various Public Improvements and the Acquisition of New Additional or Replacement Equipment and Machinery, New Communication and Signal Systems Equipment, New Information Technology Equipment, and a New Automotive Vehicle.
- Bond Ordinance 1661- To Authorize the Undertaking of the Olsen Park Improvement Project in the Borough Of Bogota.
- Ordinance 1662- An Ordinance Amending Chapter 7A “Traffic Schedules” Concerning Towing of Vehicles, Prohibiting Parking on Portions of Dunn Ave, and Prohibiting Commercial Vehicle Overnight Parking.
- Ordinance 1663- An Ordinance Amending Chapter 7 “Traffic” Concerning Commercial Vehicle Overnight Parking.
 They will be presented for a Public hearing at the Council meeting on Thursday-15-October.
 Then the Council opened public comment to amend Chapter 21B of the Bogota Code for Stormwater Control. To reflect the newly-revised language in the State’s Municipal Stormwater Management Program. It was passed by unanimous vote.
 This was followed by the Council voting on the Consent Agenda. All resolutions passed by unanimous vote.
 Items of note were:
- Resolution Cancelling Property Taxes for 100% Disabled Veteran
- Resolution Refunding Property Tax Overpayment for 100% Disabled Veteran
- Revision of Annual Schedule of Meetings
- Approval of Employment Agreement for Borough Administrator Mr. Conall O’Malley
- Hiring Part-time Recreation Department Staff Member Ms. Ally Dacosta
- Reappointment of Construction Official  Mr. Arthur Sopelsa
- Reappointment of Fire Subcode Official  Mr. Eric Hodge
The revision of the meeting schedule is to return two Council Meeting for the month. Starting with the next Council meeting will be on Thursday-15-October starting at 7:30p.
 Then the Council voted on approvals, They were passed by unanimous vote. Items of note were:
- Fire Department Boot Drives: Saturday-17- October from 9:00a to 12:00n at Main St. & Palisade Ave. and W. Fort Lee Rd. & River Rd.
-New Firefighters :
  Mr. Cory Mueger for  Engine Company No. 1.
  Mr. David Santos for Engine Company No. 1
  And New Junior Firefighter Mr. Nathaniel Gahuancela for Engine Company No. 1
