Friday-25-September, the Bogota Lady Bucs Volleyball team played the Hawthorne Lady Bears in Speary Gym.
The second Set had Hawthorne serving and scoring first. The Lady Bucs then took over the lead and opened a bigger margin with every service. Towards the end of the second set Hawthorne's Bailey Rosario serving helped the Lady Bears close the difference to four points. Miranda Villamil then served a six point run which let Bogota move on to a 25 to 14 set win for a 2-0 Match win.
Angelina Grod led all players with 16 Kills. Ariana Marchant had a team high with 6 Digs. Nikole Alvarez had a match high with 16 Assist. Ariana Marchant, Miranda Villamil, and Lucy Villamar all recorded Match highs of 6 Service Points. Nikole Alvarez and Ariana Marchant led all players with 2 Aces. Keidy Rodriguez, Talia Luciano, and Ariana Carmona finish with 2 Block for a Match High.
Hawthorne was led by Emma Ryglewicz and Schuyler Reed with 2 Kills each. Ms. Ryglewicz had a Match high of 7 Digs. Kaityln Neeb recorded 7 Assists and 3 Service Points. Schulyler Reed had one Ace.
Bogota's record is now 10-0.
Their next match is on Monday-28-September when they travel to St. Mary's The first serve is scheduled for 4:00p
