 Some other  Sports events happening on Saturday 4- Oct.
  The Bogota Cross Country Squads will race in the Brett Taylor  Invitational this Sat. 4- Oct. It will be held at the Darlington Park Racecourse in Mahwah, NJ The first race is scheduled to start at 9:00a

  The Bogota Lady Bucs Volleyball team is having a Car Wash on Sat. 4-Oct starting at 1:00p to 5:00p, This will take place in the Valley Bank Parking lot located at the corner of E. Main St and Palisade Ave. Price is $5.00 per car.


Scores

   The Bogota Bucs Soccer team had a 2-2 tie at St Mary's in Rutherford. Bogota goals were score by Colin McDonnell and Nico Calabia. They will next play at Hasbrouck Heights on  Tuesday 7- Oct starting at 4:00p

    The Bogota Bucs Football used a 32 point Second Quarter to to power themselves to a 63-30 victory at Weehawken on Friday 3-Oct.  Three Touchdowns by Christian Gonzalez and Anthony Ovalle with Mr. Gonzalez rushing for 171 Yards and Mr. Ovalle rushing for 187.
They play their next game against Queen of Peace on Saturday 11- Oct at Fiegel Field with the kickoff scheduled for 1:00p.

Blessing of the Animals

  On Sunday 5-Oct. the Trinity Lutheran Church will hold their annual " Blessing of the Animals" service. This will take place  in the Portico in the front of the church. The service will start at 10:15 a.   Any household pet is welcomed to to take part in the service, and is open to the public. After the service there will be a wild animal show by Joe D'Angeli from the Wildlife Conservation and Educational Center in Ridgefield Park, NJ.  Mr. D'Angeli will display some of the animals from the center so people can get a closer look at them, and learn more about other animals that inhabit the Earth. Pastor Peter Olsen, of Trinity wants to show the the World as a whole is is a special place, and all parts of it should be treated with respect.  In Rev. Olsen words: "Though given a special obligation to care for the earth and its creatures, human beings were, according to the Biblical narrative, made from the same earth as the animals."  With this in mind the service is opened to all members of the community, not just those who belong to Trinity Church. They hope this will be a chance to get to know more of the neighbors in the areas, and to show Trinity to others who might not have the chance to see it for themselves.

   Some results from the games played by teams from Bogota.
   The Bogota Lady Bucs Volleyball team won its match against Hawthorne Christian Academy played at Speary Gym on Thursday 2- Oct. The final score was 2-0 (25-8 : 25-11)  Cathleen Macaroy lead with 16 Service Points & 2 Digs Amanda Manzo had 14 Assists. Kelliann Brown lead with 6 Kills and 2 Aces along with Natalie Torres & Amanda Manzo.
    They next play on Friday 3-Oct at Park Ridge with the Match schedule to start at 4:00p

   The Bogota Bucs Soccer team  played to a 3-3 at Hawthorne Christian Academy on Thursday 2- Oct. Conor McDonnell score all three of Bogota's goals for the Hat Trick. They next play at St. Mary's of Rutherford  on Friday 3-Oct with the Kickoff Schedule at 4:00p This will be classified as a Varsity game.

  The Bogota Bucs Football team will play at Weehawken on Friday night 3- Oct. This is scheduled to have a 7:00p Kickoff.
