Bogota Football Bucs Preseason

26-August-2026

On Tuesday-25-August the Bogota Football Bucs held one of their final pre-season practices before the start of the 2026 season. First year Head Coach Mr. Adam Tonner had his 22 players in formations for both the Defensive and Offensive players to simulate game situation.
This was followed by exercises for each discipline. Linemen worked on their stance, and reaction to the snap of the ball.
Running backs and linebackers practice how to gain extra yardage before being stopped by the opposition. Or to limit forward progress of a runner.
Secondary positions, and Wide Receivers players repeated skill sets of breaking free of a defender. The did drills of focusing on locating passes in flight at different speeds and placements. Along with reacting to loose ball on the ground.
After this the Offense and Defensive squads again lined up against each other's to work on playing against their upcoming opponent.
The final part of the practice was to do wind sprints to the 50-yard line, and returning to the endzone. This continued with the target moving 10 yards close to the goal line. The last 10-yard sprint ended in a huddle to listen to the Coaches thought on how the practice went, and one final group huddle.
Bogota again plays in the Patriot Division. The other teams in the division are Weehawken, Park Ridge, Wallington, Wood-Ridge, and St. Mary’s.
The Bucs will open their 2026 season on Thursday-27-August traveling to Palisades Park with a 6:00p kick-off.
