Weather Alert

 3-February-2023

The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Advisory for the Tri-State area.
For more information, please visit their website at: https://www.weather.gov/okx/
-Below Zero Wind Chills Tonight into Saturday Morning.

An arctic cold front will move across the region early this
morning, bringing some of the coldest air of the season. Along
with gusty winds approaching 40 mph, this will produce wind chills
of 5 to 15 below zero Friday night into Saturday morning. Some
isolated values of less than 15 below are possible. With an
anomalously warm winter, many are not acclimated to such cold
temperatures and such cold wind chills could result in hypothermia
if precautions are not taken.
This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northeast New Jersey and
southeast New York.

-DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

A dangerously cold air mass is expected to settle over the region
today and tonight. Please refer to the Special Weather Statement for
additional details.

-DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

A dangerously cold air mass is expected to settle over the region
Saturday morning. Please refer to the Special Weather Statement for
additional details.
