Egg Hunt

 On Saturday-19-April, the Bogota Recreation Department held its annual Egg Hunt on the Little League Field in Olsen Park. To start the event a magician known as “Island Magic” entertained the Children and Parents as the egg fields were being created. During the show volunteers were chosen to participate in saying magic words. When the Egg Hunt was ready, it was divided into three groups by age, from preschool up to third grade. Bogota Mayor Ms. Daniele Fede would start the countdown to set the egg hunters on their way. The first group were those younger than Kindergarten Students. These children were allowed to be accompanied by their Parent as they ran across the field gathering eggs. They also needed to find the special eggs in order to be given a prize. The older Students then took their turns in hunting for the prize-winning eggs. After the search, the Easter Bunny was on hand to thank everyone for coming by and to pose for photos.
