Lemonade

1-July-2019
On Saturday-29-June  there was a Lemonade stand was setup on Larch Ave across from the Wells-Fargo parking lot. Along with selling a cool beverage, and some snacks this stand had a different purpose. Organized by Sherry Solomov this stand is going by the name  “Standz4Something” as part of it. The idea is to use the thought of a simple Lemonade stand as a way to promote something greater than just making a few dollars in the summer. Ms. Solomov's goal is to encourage other residents of the Borough to aid organization, or causes,  they feel strongly about. This initial venture was to support the Steen School PTO.  She said that 100% of the money raised will go the organization selected.  In this case it will be the       PTO  from Steen School, which raise funds to help programs for the Students during the school year.
The next “Standz4Something” is schedule for Saturday-13-July.  This days organization to benefit will be the Bogota Police Dept.  Then on Saturday-20-July  they will raise money for the Bogota Volunteer Fire Dept.  The time they will run from about 10:00a to 12:00n.  All dates and times are subject to weather conditions.
Ms. Solomov would like to see other “Standz4Something” to take part in this endeavor. Whether it is many stands support a group on the same on one day. Or other Stands showing support for an organization they feel strongly about.  Her goal is to show support and to help local groups in Bogota.
