Bogota Volleyball

22-Oct-2011
The Bogota Lady Bucs Volleyball team ended their regular season at home yesterday with a 2-0(25-8 :25-22) victory over the Midland Park Panthers. The Bucs finish the season with a record of 24-1.
Before the game Senior Elise Brackett  was honor in recognition of her final home game in her career. Ms. Brackett was presented  flowers from her teammates, as well as her parents. Also Ms. Brackett's Grandparent , from North Carolina, were able to attend the game.
The seniors for Midland Park were also honored before the game.
The game itself was well played, and competitive. The first set was closer the the 25-8 score with many long volleys to decide points. These were book-ended around a long series of scoring served by Becky Kelemen.
The second set was starting to be controlled by the Lady Bucs until Midland Park mounted a strong comeback. Coach DiRepo called a well placed time-out to settle his team down, then they went out and finished the game with two straight points for the victory.
