Bogota Borough Council

On Thursday-5-May the Bogota Borough Council held their first of the Month
The Council unanimously passed all the items voted on. One item of note was to amend the Borough code on "Driveway Aprons" This will now allow driveway running across the sidewalks and to the street to be made of concrete pavers and  as well as poured concrete.
Bogota Mayor Christopher Kelemen appointed Ms. Jessie Frias to the Planning Board. Ms. Frias will replace Mr. Frank Miranda would  has stepped down. Mayor Kelemen also appointed Mr. William Horden as a 2nd alternate replacing Mr Jose Chavez who also stepped  down from the Planning Board. Another replacement was Mr. Robert Foster became the 1st alternate filling Ms Frias spot.
After closed sessions  the Council unanimously approved a two year contract to Mr. Joseph Ricca  for the position of Recreation Director for the Borough of Bogota.
 During the Council reports several announcements were made. One was that the Borough of Bogota has obtain reusable shopping bags available to each household in the Borough. They are free of charge and can be pick-up at Borough Hall, the Bogota Public Library and near any of the plastic bag recycling boxes. Another was to authorized the Borough Clerk to post an advertisement seeking a Full Time laborer for the Department of Public Works. Another job to be posted is for  a Part Time Summer laborer also for the Department of Public Works. Both of these positions can be applied for by email at dpw@bogotaonline.org  and returned via mail to Mr. Gordon Kohles, DPW Supt. at Borough Hall, 375 Larch Avenue, Bogota, NJ 07603 by 4:00p 30-May-2022.
