Bogota Borough Council Meeting

 7-April-2023

 On Thursday-6-April the Bogota Borough Council held their first Hybrid meeting. This was held in person at the Council Chamber, as well as online. A large screen monitor has been installed so the Council members can see who is speaking during the Public Comment session.
  This was a Work Session meeting, which will now be the first meeting of the month. This is scheduled to have limited about of voting on resolutions but will allow voting on time sensitive matters. In this work session a number of resolutions needed to be voted on. These including the hiring of a Part Time Fire Inspector, approving to accept Grants for the proposed Recreation Center, a motion to allow the Board of Education to survey the land in Olsen Park for new sports fields, a grant for new picnic tables, and grants to refurbish Fireman's Park. These and other items were approved by unanimous vote.
  In the Work Session meeting their will be only one Public Comment after voting. Many of the residents who spoke they thanked the council for offering this service to view Council Meeting. 
  The next Borough Council meeting will be held on Thursday-20-April starting at 7:00p.  This will be a Regular Meeting and be held in-person, and in a Hybrid format, is scheduled to be held in the Council Chambers starting at 7:00p. The Regular Meeting will have two Public Comment Session, one at the start of the meeting, and the second after voting. The Council Reports will take place after the second Public Comments.
