On Saturday-31-January, the Bogota Public Library hosted a second special story time to recognize Muslin Culture.
At the start of the event the Library's  Youth Services Coordinator Mr. Tom Skrnich had the Students, and their Parents sing a song while shaking noise makers.
Then he introduced Ms. Saleha Hashmat to read a of couple of books. The first one was "Mommy's Khimar" by  Ms. Jamilah Thompkins- Bigelow. This is about a young girl wearing her Mother's Khimar , also known as a Hijab, for a day. She picks a yellow one and wears it for the day making up adventures while be reminded of her Mother.
When this book was finished Mr. Skrnich had the Students play other movement games.
The second book was  "Zain's Super Friday" by Ms. Hena Khan. This is a story about a young boy wanting to save the world from alien invaders while wearing his cape. On this day Zain's Father is taking him to their Mosque to attend his first Jumu'ah prayers. As the two leave the Mosque his Father also puts on a cape so the two can protect the Earth together.
