Many of us would regularly be patronizing bars, salons, restaurants, and other businesses that have been ordered closed. Even if you are socially isolating, you can help to support our local service industry staff. Consider sending a "tip" to your favorite bartender, server, stylist, aestheticism. Use the form linked below to find their Venmo/Paypal info. Note that you can find service industry workers information using on the  Google Sheets  available on the link below. If you don't see your favorite service industry folks listed, encourage them to come and fill out the form (Service Industry Worker). Please circulate widely.

The Borough of Bogota has ordered all bars,  and other non-essential businesses to shutter. Restaurants and other food establishments must only offer Deliver or Take-out service. Many of our friends and neighbors depend on tips to make ends meet. This virtual tip jar is for local service industry staff - employees at bars, restaurants, salons, etc - to post your Venmo or Paypal information so that customers, neighbors, and Bogota community members can continue to support you. Please note: Any information you share will be made publicly available.

Special Meeting

4-May-2020

   On Sunday-3-May the Township of Teaneck announced a special council meeting.  This will take place on Tuesday-5-May and is scheduled to start at 9:00a  One of the items to be discussed is an extension of the Municipal tax deadline to Monday-1-June-2020.  Currently  the Tax deadline is Friday-1-May-2020 with a 10 day grace period. Payments can still be made online via our website at www.teanecknj.gov and follow the prompts to "Pay Taxes Online". 

Property taxes may also be paid by mail. Make checks payable to the Township of Teaneck, our mailing address is: Twp of Teaneck, Tax Collector, 818 Teaneck Road, Teaneck, NJ 07666. Please ensure that your payment is postmarked no later than May 11th, 2020.  Drop your payment in the drop box. 

There is a white box outside of the North entrance of the Municipal Building where payments may be left for the tax office for processing. Please place payment in an envelope addressed to the tax department. If a receipt is required, please indicate as such and one will be mailed, otherwise a cancelled check is considered a receipt. 

This meeting will  be conducted virtually and via telephone.  The agenda to the extent known is to consider extending the 2nd quarter property tax grace period pursuant to Executive Order 130 (Murphy) (2020).  Formal action may be taken.

*When the meeting reaches the point of Good & Welfare and you are dialed in, you will be asked if you would like to join the "Q&A" session. If you opt in to participate, you will be added to a cue. Please wait to be called on to begin expressing your concern or asking your question - you will be "unmuted". You will have three minutes to speak. Members of the Public will be called upon according to the order of the cue.

When using your 3 minutes for Good & Welfare - please speak slowly, clearly, & not too loud.

You must be dialed in to 1 (425) 535-9303 in order to participate in the Good & Welfare portion of the meeting.

The Council Meeting will be streamed to www.teanecknj.gov under “Agendas & Minutes” and broadcasted live to Public Access as usual.

Please only call in if you have a question or comment for Good & Welfare. If you do not, please view/listen to the meeting on the Town website or Public Access.

By allowing Mr. Mercado to deliver these products there will not be a charge for a shipping fee.
