Bogota Senior Night

   On Saturday-7-October the Bogota Football Bucs held their Senior Night game at Feigel Field. The played the Palisades Park/Leonia Tigers. Before the start of the game the five Senior players, one Cheerleader, and one Color Guard member were announced to the audience. When the game started the light rain, and soft field conditions cause both offenses to have difficulties in moving the ball.  The first half would end in a 0-0 tie and neither team crossing their opponents 20-yard line. The one time the visitors came close to the endzone Bogota's Alvarado Jason intercepted a pass at the Bucs 10-yard line. 
  After the restart Tigers began their second possession of the half deep in their own territory. They worked their way down the field to open the scoring with a 14-yard Touchdown run by Niles Randall.  The Bogota stopped the two-point conversion which made the score 6-0 in favor of Palisades Park/Leonia. 
  Going into the fourth quarter Bogota still trailed by 6 points. The Bucs did start the quarter on the Tigers 14- yard line after the recovered a fumble punt attempt. On the second play of the new quarter Joesph Perpepaj ran 14 yards around the left side for the major score. The extra point was missed keeping the score at 6 all. On their next possession the Bucs would start on their own 25-yard line. The drive would continue to the deep in the visitors end of the field. On a fourth and long Ryan Lewis would connect with Michael Olivo. While the play was stopped short of the goal line a Face-masking penalty on the tigers gave the Bucs on more play. Joesph Perpepaj drove two yards into the endzone to give Bogota their first lead of the game. Palisades Park/Leonia stopped the two-point conversion which made the score 12-6 in favor Bogota
  The Tigers would make to midfield, then the Bucs defense stopped the fourth-down play and re-gain the ball for the finally play of the game and a 12-6 home win.  Bogota's record is now 5-1. The next play on Thursday-12-October in the Semi-final game for the Union Division. They will host Elmwood Park at Feigel Field with a 7:00p Kick-off.
