Bogota Football

 On Friday-12-October the Bogota Football Bucs hosted the Elmwood Park Crusaders in a Union Division Semi-Final Game. Bogota would win the toss and receive the opening kick.  The Bucs would take the ball down the field controlling most of the first quarter. They would have a possible touchdown called back due to a penalty and then turn the ball over on downs. Elmwood Park also turn the over on down with their first possession.  The first 12 minutes would end in a scoreless tie. 
   In the second quarter the Crusaders would recover fumble in Bogota territory. Soon after Jayden Ferrer had a 20-yard run around the right side into the endzone for the first score of the game. Angel Ayala-Valle added the extra point to give the visitors a 7-0. 
After the restart the game stayed the same until late into the final quarter. Bogota's Joseph Perpepaj squeezed his way over the goal line from 6 yards away. The Bucs would go for the win with a two-point conversion. Elmwood Park's defense would hold their line to stop the play. This left the score 7 to 6 for the Crusaders.  Justin Roca attempted and onside kick, which was recovered by John Canada to give Bogota on more chance. On a fourth down and long, Elmwood Park would intercept the pass to end the game 7 to 6.
Bogota record is now 5-2.
  Also in attendance were Bogota Alumni members if the 1979 Olympic Division Championship team.
